Ja'Marr Chase blames drops on lack of concentration
By - LamarcusAldrige1234
I feel bad that he is blaming himself when it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have drafted him. I’m so sorry
It’s okay I’ll bench him week 1 to teach him a lesson and get him back on track
What’ll really do the trick is to sell him for a 3rd.
Atm hes in my Taxi until he stops the drops. Need that rosterspot for my dartthrow waiverpicks (Pringle and Harris from the saints)
Not mocking you. Just curious. What do you like from those two guys? Possible upside as the Chiefs 4th option behind Kelce, Hill, and Clyde doesn’t interest me unless I have a very deep roster
I am calling it now, 4 TD's week 1 on your bench then you start him the rest of the season while he is catching 3 passes for 23 yards. :)
How tf could you
He’s a monster
I laughed pretty good at this.
I’ve never seen the preseason impact the perception of a player this much.
ESpecially one who everyone spent 2 years fawning over
I mean they were fawning over him because he caught everything.
Definitely just this sub and a few dynasty podcasters. I enjoy and use this sub weekly, but it is an echo chamber of love or hate on certain players. Often for little reason.
I'm old enough to remember Larry Fitzgerald's rookie season. It was worse than this. He failed to break 800 yards despite Boldin missing 6 games and a lot of people thought he would never become the alpha over Boldin.
Damn your old
I still remember Boldin's breakout game against Detroit his rookie year, dude was insane.
It's this sub and Twitter. Social media is good for no one.
It's just this sub lol
My theory is that reddit's upvote/downvote system really amplifies it. Pulling numbers out of my ass, if going into the draft 52% of people in this sub loved Chase and 48% wanted wanted pump the brakes, then Chase love would bubble to the top and Chase hate would sink. If a shaky preseason scares off a small chunk of Chase fans, then the tide shifts, and Chase caution rises to the top, probably with a tinge of salt from being downvoted for the opinion for months.
Signed, salty dude who had Chase as WR3 in this class lol
If he catches it he’ll stop dropping it
Wherever you go, there you are
Some people don't think it be the way that it is, but it do
It always makes sense if you don’t think about it
Gotta get that Adderall exception
All jokes aside, this is pretty reassuring.
*“If you look back at it, I jumped in the air when the ball got to me,” Chase said. “That means my eyes weren’t concentrated on the ball. I didn’t keep still. So that makes my eye adjustment for the ball move around.”*
So he knows exactly what he was doing wrong and has been working to fix it. Something coachable and fixable. I'm not worried at all.
He should try concentrating.
I’m more of a fresh squeezed guy myself
My best friend is best friend’s with Chase. He said Chase is dropping everything on purpose so no one sees it coming when Burrow gets sacked the most in the league next year.
What I'm reading is that your best friend has a best friend that's not you, sorry bro
How do you think he feels when he realizes he’s a side piece too
It's unrequited social investment all the way down
You heard it here first
Did anyone else read this as "Ja'Marr Chase blames drops on lack of connection"
Verizon just signed him
"Can you catch me now?"
"Catch me if you can!"
I did not know the NFL ball was ~1.25 inches bigger in circumference compared to the college ball. Hand size matters, folks.
It's not really hand size here but the feel for the football even a slight change is noticed. But he took a whole year off so if he wasn't catching NFL balls thats on him
It definitely seems like an oversight to work with the wrong balls lol
Tbf, Chase's hands are bigger than Smith, Waddle, Bateman and Justin Jefferson's. The only receivers drafted in the first two rounds who had bigger hands are the two TEs.
TMJ was measured at LSU at 9 1/2 inch
Chase was also measured at LSU at 9 5/8. I think they are realistically a push.
Hey... that extra 1/8 inch matters. *Trust me*.
Davante Adams has small hands and just put up one of the best points/game WR seasons ever.
It's also been debunked on here through large data analysis too. Still crazy the ball is that much bigger though.
Maybe he should go to concentration camp
I'm sure DeSean Jackson can recommend a good one.
I did Nazi that coming
I did nazi that coming Anne Frankly I am fuhrerious
Lol south park
SELL! SELL! SELL!
TO ME! TO ME! TO ME!
I did, couldn't be happier!
What did you get back?
2022 and 2023 1sts
I'd sell for two firsts if someone came at me with that.
Exactly what I thought. Taco move?
Not necessarily, they could be mid-late firsts. But IMO for sure an overpay.
There’s not a good way to know if the 2023 is mid or late. It’s at best an educated guess. Even this year there’s only so much certainty.
Early or late?
Eh... It's all coachable and fixable. I'm not worried about Chase...
...Because I traded him for Pitts a couple weeks ago and he's someone else's problem now.
Just rusty for not playing a whole szn & just needs to get his confidence. He’ll be alright…I’m actually putting in some low ball trades for him..,lol
I blame it on him sucking
Sounds like his hands got the vaccine
what does this even mean lmao
His hands are protected against catching the ball.
Fourth round pic hopefully it pays off
64 man league?
Bro what are you saying unless you’re talking about a rookie draft I would not be taking him in the 4th at all
He means start up
4th round is exactly his ADP in start ups and not even a bad spot imo. Next receivers taken are Aiyuk and Jeudy and I’m drafting Chase over both of them 100%
Man hasn’t played since 2019 has been atrocious thus far and has accusations of abuse from his pregnant girlfriend - but okay toss up
Actually in a game in 2020 he went for 9/221/2 lol.
I’m not saying he isn’t high risk but the risk/reward ratio is about right for where he’s going in startups.
The 2019 season are you referring to January 13 game?
You said he hasn’t played since 2019. He played in 2020, yes, on Jan 13
Ahh okay so pedantic aside he hasn’t played since the 2019 season.
All that IG baby mama drama.
Sounds not like blaming but owning his mistakes
Separation anxiety stressing him out 🤷♂️
Ya think? I blame things falling on gravity
That’s a bad head space NGL, Cincy has too many mouths to feed for someone to be down bad on their selves.
Hi I’m jamar chase, I beat my girlfriends and waddle and smith will be better then me
