[An isolated ACL tear](https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/1459579648573120518?s=21) per Schefter. Brutal news but hopefully will make a full recovery.
Wow. Just traded Woods for MT and a 2022 3rd about an hour ago…. To my wife…. Pray for me.
This belongs in Reddit Hall of Fame.
sounds like you may also be trading the bed for the couch tonight. Oof.
Well one of you is getting well fucked today.
Im in win now mode and traded MT for Woods and a 3rd yesterday. Rip.
Hey! We met your husband a little earlier!
The exact same trade but in reverse. Wow.
Why is everyone trading MT all of a sudden?
Because he's getting another surgery and is out for the season instead of "back around week 8-10"
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooo. Prayers up for you.
If she hasn't heard, trade back and reap the rewards when she finds out!!
Fantasy is more important than sex, come on man.
Well, for some sex is a fantasy.
It’s funny because I was about to trade MT for woods straight up right before this came out, god bless notifications
Same here. Was considering sending MT + 3rd for Woods + 2nd. Ended up deciding I would just roll with MT
Who is MT
well i fear for your life friend. good luck
No joke, Wednesday i traded Ekeler and Woods for 2023 1st and Saquon, league discussed as payment was needed for the future but luckily we all agreed trade was still valid.
Beckham is definitely getting some targets now.
I just traded him yesterday. Definitely could have gotten more now.
What do you think you’d ask for now if you still had him?
Not sure. I got what I considered to be late 2nd value for him. I think I could have gotten a better 2nd.
A few weeks back I traded for Jameis and Woods. Fantasy football is pain.
I have a feeling Van Jefferson is the better start ROS over OBJ.
Please baby Jesus
Definitely this week (assuming OBJ plays) but I could also see Van stepping up ROS.
I can’t see the future so I won’t say it’s out of the realm of possibility or even say that I’m right, but I have a feeling this take (which I’ve seen a good amount) is going to go down similar to people thinking Gallup would overtake Cooper last year.
That comparison doesn't make sense. Van has been on this team for two seasons, and has 4+ months of reps with Stafford. OBJ was signed yesterday and has never been in McVay offense.
Cooper has been on the cowboys for several seasons.
The comparison is loose I admit, but it’s simply that these Fantasy subs hype up younger players to “overtake” more talented ones and it rarely happens.
I didn’t say number-wise or even situation wise that they were similar, but rather that I expected the talented vet to get the expected high usage.
Loose is an understatement. I guess time will tell on your conjecture versus my own.
Wow devastating injury news for Woods. Certainly makes the OBJ signing way more important than we initially thought
No not Bobby Trees 😪
Fuck, that legitimately sucks.
Also - did this news just kill Sleeper?
Yep. I know Vam Jefferson is gone in my league but I just want to be *sure*...and it won't load anything.
Why is a joke pinned
Yeah that’s gross on a thread about a player tearing his acl
At least it's at the top from an easy down vote.
Van Jefferson should see a bump alongside OBJ. I think it also makes Kupp even more scary to go against.
Another “Van Jefferson Price Check” thread coming soon.
The one yesterday got shut down by a dude calling Van a roster clogger.
Wow. Sucks for the poor guy.
I just traded him, Eli Mitchel, Trey Sermon and a 2nd away like 2 days ago for Scary Terry.
Wow what a fleece, didn’t even have to move a first
So van jefferson is now the WR2
Goodnight my sweet prince. You were supposed to help me win a chip….not like this..
It’s been a fun year in dynasty having Akers, Russel Wilson, woods, David Montgomery. Lol
Well add him to the list. I’m at 7 guys out for the season now
I gave up a lot of draft capital for Woods on Tuesday. I needed a WR2 badly for a playoff push and now feeling lost. Terrible news for Woods and the Rams.
Despite the records Kupp broke, Woods was still Wr12 in ppr which makes him a low end WR1 or high end WR2 in most leagues.
Rams cap situation isn’t pretty but I wonder if this injury makes him more likely to get cut next season. Sure hope not cause Bobby Trees is easily my favourite Rams player
Shoot my receiver room is HURTING all of a sudden
Jacobi Meyers please save me
He will get some TDs, it's a matter of when not if!
Just in time to join Kamara, CEH, Hunt, Golladay and possibly Harris on my bench this week against a fellow contender
What are Woods owners doing to replace depth? I’m considering trading a 2023 2nd (likely late) for Brandin Cooks but think it may be an overpay…
Cooks is on a 100 catch, 1200 yard pace. How is a late 2 that is 2 years away an overpay?
Okay my bad
Pondered an offer of Mixon for my Woods and a first and didn’t accept. Damn.
Bro that’s an auto accept without the news.
I traded Odell away for a third a couple days before he stopped showing up to practice and got released. Kill me
Like, why? I'd rather hold him and have him lose all value than trade him for a third. A third is basically worthless.
My thoughts at the time were that his value wouldn’t go anywhere, and I didn’t see the browns cutting him. I wanted some picks for a rebuild, so I was trying to get anything from him. We’ll just say there’s a reason I’m rebuilding lol
At least you didn’t drop him.. oops
I want a league where people do dumb things like this..... have some patience lol
So who is getting the boost? OBJ, Van, or Higbee?
I traded a late first for him Friday morning in a push to stay at the top of my leagues standings.
I was submitting trades for him on Thursday sheesh
Free Candy Van is back on the menu.
If you’re a rebuilding team, what do you give up to get him from a contender?
I wouldn't look to buy him as a rebuilding team.
Woods is 29. May miss part of 2022 and would be coming off an injury. LAR might need to move off him. Woods has a cap hit of $15.7M in 2022. LAR could save $3.6M by cutting him.
I agree, the rams have shown they will move on from anyone the moment they're not worth the cap hit
Woods is a captain and an integral part of the offense. They are not going to just cut him
So was Jared Goff and Todd Gurley...
Apples and oranges
LAR may not. Just as a team rebuilding, Woods is not someone I would be targeting.
29 now, coming off an ACL injury and with a $15M cap charge in 2022. Maybe he sticks in 2022, but each year it is less likely he is kept.
Early 2 at this point I think. He might miss the start of next season with how late it happened in the year
A WR2 who is older is likely the best bet. Contenders won't want picks for him.
OBJ to the fucking MOON 🚀🚀🚀
If there’s a silver lining we don’t have to hear the stupid Bobby Trees nickname for a year
Bobby Trees recovery and buy low posts incoming
All it took was him tearing a root to end it.
But it was my team name. What do i do now!?!!
Van Jefferson > Adelle Dropham
Imagine pinning your own joke to a breaking news post about a season ending injury
Exactly, it’s honestly embarrassing
Seems like bad taste to pin a crappy joke to the top of a thread about a guy having a serious injury
what was the joke, just curious
A total abuse of power to pin this awful joke.
Seriously, who pins their own joke? Lmfao.
You guys are all so sensitive about your Reddit. Abuse of power? It's a forum. Lmao if you want that power then volunteer your time like mods do. Lol he made a joke. Who cares.
I didn’t say abuse of power.
But regardless of the actual content, that’s what it is. Stickies should provide relevant information to the community, not be a way for a mod to automatically have the top comment.
Found AGS’s burner.
Don't know how this dude is still a mod after that fiasco a few months ago
Elaborate because I'm curious now. Lol
On a post about Dhop not getting the vaccine someone commented that Dhop was an idiot, AGS banned that redditor. Then people started asking questions about whether that was a reasonable thing for a mod to do and AGS removed any post or comment criticizing his moderation. He also ended up banning another member of the mod team during this whole thing I think? Though that guy got reinstated after the whole mod team talked about it.
Idk just a standard power trip kinda thing it seemed like
Was this a joke? A reference to something?
Dude…this is in awful taste wtf. He just had a season ending injury and you’re gonna pin a joke about it??
Bunch of soft ass comments in this thread.
It’s an ACL - easily recovered from relatively common sports injury. The dude wasn’t Shaziered.
Buncha snowflakes on here - Good reference from an awesome movie.
Fuck. I’ve kept Bobby the last 4 years. Is it time to drop him due to this injury and pick up Van Jeff?
how shallow are your benches that this is even a real question? or is this sarcasm I'm missing?
Sounds like it’s a keeper league not dynasty
Literally all my players have gotten injured just in the last two weeks. I had to cut my losses and pick up Van Jeff since both IR spots are filled… if anything I’ll try stashing woods in my IR later in the season
I don’t know how small your benches are but Van Jefferson is a must add IMO. Very few people are dropping Woods
I feel like there should probably be someone else on your team you can drop before Woods.
But if Van Jefferson is a free agent then act fast
I’m in a thought spot. I won last year but have now lost Woods, Akers, Ridley, Kamara is hurt, Hamler, And Chark. I didn’t have much depth and I traded my next two 1sts for Mixon before the year to compete again. I still have Lamar, Andrews and DJ Moore. That’s about it worth starting at this point. Should I try to blow it up or just ride it out till next season and hopefully have better luck?
Try to trade for your first again
A rebuilder might have some assets they would trade for hurt players.
I'm in a similar situation where have been dominant the last 2 seasons, and had a really weird season with losses and uncharacteristic under performances.
I'm basically open to blowing it up, but its going to turn into a mini retool if anything. Haven't been able to move everyone, have moved a lot of the more expendable and cheap pieces, so I can try again next year at this rate. Have definitely shed enough points to secure a top 5 pick if not better though. (On pace for top 3. Depends on some of my guys bouncing back last half of the season)
One more week to try and move the bigger pieces, but it doesn't feel like my league is willing to give fair prices for the premium players.
Idk why you'd blow it up, your team can't compete this year sure, but should be great mext year when you get all these guys back. Maybe you can trade some guys that are towards the end of their value to competitors this year for picks and try and get a good rookie. Then compete next year and after
Trade Mixon and Kamara for your firsts back. Blow it all up. They will be early and the 2023 draft class is insanely good.
Those guys will be too old by the time you can contend again.
As a one year rebuilder thinking about making an offer to the contender who owns Woods. Crowder + a 3rd seem reasonable or am I way off base here?
Literally just traded van Jefferson for Arob before the news broke.
Still like this anyway
Blood In, Blood Out this year. Dayum.
He was my fifth best WR and never left the flex. Hopefully Gallup holds the fort down ROS. Cause I literally just have Bourne and Sharpe after that
This Van Jefferson roller coaster is getting out of control.
I traded him and Matt Ryan for Mike Williams on Monday.
No joke, I just traded woods and Clyde for dalvin Cook this week. Wow.
Lucky you but if the other guy is rebuilding it shouldn’t change too much
For sure, deal is still fair both ways just feeling really lucky for right now.
Just traded a 1st and j love for woods and david mills in SF 🤬
I traded Matt Ryan for Van Jefferson, Sam Darnold and a 2022 2nd last night. Let’s goooo
I literally just traded him away to a contender a few days ago along with Knox for Pitts, I'm getting so lucky this season omfg
The day after I cut Van Jefferson
Everyone I drafted this yr is hit with an injury
Is he gonna go on IR?
Is Woods a buy low candidate? Or stay away from In dynasty. I know an ACL isn’t the end of the world but he’s also 29 and could be a casualty of cap space next season.
Bobby trees stonks. Good buy low
I just got him for a 2024 3rd!
Why do people trade away legit assets for 3rds is beyond me
A few weeks ago I saw OBJ get traded for less. Seller said, "I'm just sick of looking at him on my bench"
Haha understandable I guess, but still dumb!
