That's it, I'm moving him this off-season. 8 full games out of 33 possible in the past 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I love the points he gave me, but I don't want to deal with this headache anymore.
I worded that poorly. I am not a contender and looking for pieces next year. Cmc being one of them. I just don’t know if I can trust him at this point.
precisely. none of those assets represent the difference making ability of mccaffrey. fantasy football is about assembling a roster with as much elite output as possible. quantity does not equal equality.
Well good. I got cmc haha. My running backs next year are now Kamara, CMC, Gibson, Mitchell and Pollard. Now we pray to fantasy gods that everyone’s knees and ankles hold.
HELL NO
I fully do not being injury prone the amount of guys that were forsure injury prone and now are perfectly fine is astonishing
People get unlucky and that’s all.
Lost CMC and Cook yesterday. So brutal. My roster was so good before the week after making a big deadline move that it made two competing (but aging) teams finally decide to pull the trigger on starting a rebuild. The only way anyone else had a chance was a run of bad luck on my part.
Well...
It's still good enough that I have a good shot at winning this year but it's not the same with two 20 point a week RBs down.
Hi fellow owner of CMC here.
I also own Swift.
Owned Dalvin, but traded him for Fant and Bateman (PPR & TEP 0.5) at the deadline.
I'm on the borderline of playoffs this year. Now I'm sad.
I still have a shot as I have Hubbard, Jamaal, and Javonte, but I'd be lying if I said I liked my odds...
Yeah it helps to have handcuffs to mitigate this kind of thing.
On the roster I'm talking about I have CMC/Hubbard, Mixon/Perine, Gibson/McKissic and then Cook and Ekeler with no backups.
Hopefully Hubbard can really hold it down down the stretch but I doubt it. 13 or so point a game is what I'm expecting.
If it makes you feel better this week in my ppr league I lost CMC, Cook, Deebo, and Waller with 3 weeks left until playoffs and 5 teams fighting for 3 spots at 6 and 6. Safe to say my season is over lol.
same boat with cmc and swift. i still have barkley but im worried swift is in that shut down for season territory. im shopping around for a rb, i have a 1st 2nd a 3rd to offer hopefully someone trades me lol. targeting gaskin, fournette, robinson right now
This was in the off-season when all were healthy lol. Tbf the guy has Gibson and Barkley which is ehhh but 6 first round picks in 2022 and I think like 3 in 2023. 1st rounder will likely be 7th overall.
CMC injuring different places for 2 seasons does not concern me nearly as much as Saquon injuring the same body parts in college and then multiple times over 2 seasons, and everyone is still high on him despite playing 9 games over 2 seasons and only 2 not being awful. If I see Saquon go for huge value in my league and then someone offers me a late first for cmc I’d rather just wait. If he plays he’s essentially a guaranteed floor of 20, the exception is games where he got hurt or where he just came back and got a snap count, which is obviously the exception, in fact he still dropped 20 on 59% snap. I’d rather bet on the chance he plays a full season and wins me my league, take at worst 5 or 6 basically guaranteed wins, than take a dart throw at the bottom of the round for a guy with a much lower ceiling. I’d sell, I don’t want CMC or Barkley, but make it make sense
No it isn’t. Picks like that are lottery tickets. You’re not likely to hit on any of them. CMC is still going to play games in the NFL and put up decent numbers when active. I’d rather have a guy score me 20 points 7 times a year (140) compared to some roster clogs that would get like 5 points for all 17 weeks (85).
So... I play 0.5 ppr, so it's a little higher in full, but he only gave you 82 points last year and 100 this year. Just for perspective.
4 games of 20, sure. Maybe he does it again. Maybe he NEVER does it again.
This is misleading, sure you’re right, but actually look at it for the other perspective
If you had him .5 PPR last year his worst game you started him in he had 22.8 points.
If you had him .5 PPR this year besides last week, the worst start he had was 12.6 points, and all other 4 starts he had over 20 points.
So yea let’s put it in perspective, when you’re starting him, he’s winning you weeks almost if not every time. You aren’t getting that from a 2nd + 2 3rds unless you are veryyyy lucky
He put up 5 points in week 3 as well, but the point is a guy you can only start 4-5 times, who is getting continually hurt, isn't even reliable for those 4-5 times.
If you wanna hold him, hold him. My point was never you have to panic sell - merely that his market value is going to tank from here out. If you want any value out of him, you sell now.
But he is pretty reliable for those times, and he has played 3 straight seasons without missing a game, and the x rays were negative. This seems like they are more just shutting him down.
Right but you practically are implying to panic sell lol. Just wait til he drops a 20 point game or a few next season and move him then. Selling now for peanuts is just a really bad move
...three straight seasons without missing a game \*two years ago\*, with multiple straight seasons of 300+ touches and one of them being 400+.
Dude has been wildly overutilized. Age is not the primary determining factor of RB failure - use is. Most RBs aren't going to be Derek Henry.
Again, I'm not saying you need to panic sell CMC. All I have said is his value will go nowhere but down from here.
I think I would too, but not sure. Honestly I'll probably try to trade whichever one I have over the offseason, so it'd come down to whoever's likely to have better trade value.
Why would you do that? Harris has been balling and he's a rookie, CMC even though he is so good and a League winner it seems like every time he steps on the field he's hurt
For me it's the way he plays, they'll dump it off to him and he'll fight a whole team for 3 yards and get hit by everyone and then they'll run a whole drive through just CMC were he'll take some nasty shots.
Abandoned ship just now. Heavy contender in a high stakes league and I moved CMC for Mixon straight up. I gave up good value but our trade deadline is in a few hours and the leaguemate knew I needed another solid RB for my run. Kinda relieved, honestly. Two years of injuries is a bad look.
I tried this. I even offered to throw in a second. No budge, and I don’t blame him. He ended up trading me Monty for my first and damien harris though so hopefully Monty can drop 70 points a week and fill the void for CMC, Swift, Deebo, and AJB
I was hoping he would push me into playoffs but I’m gonna move him this offseason. His age and injury history is really gonna hurt his value now so better to move while it’s still elite
Even though CMC is out the rest of the year and hindsight is 20/20 I think we all make that trade 100%. Hopefully next year you can flip him or he stays healthy for you
I lost every game he played in for me this year before I traded him. Mind blowing really. Dude puts up QB numbers in the RB slot. The owner I traded him to had real potential for a championship.
But luckily for me now the zero RB strategy and the haul I got in return for CMC has propelled me to being top 3 in points in my league with a shot to win it all aswell. Have faith y’all gon’ bounce back
A few minutes after it was announced, that he would go on IR, the Hubbard owner offered Chuba for a 2nd Rounder. Never clicked on accept that fast. (12 Man PPR)
I traded Cam Akers and Tee Higgens for Kamara in week 3 or 4 to pair with CMC. I figured I’d crush everyone on my way to the Ship…I never got to play them together and now I never will 😢
I’m not a contender I’m closer to having 1.01 tbh, but my team is decent and could be solid next year, the CMC owner offered me CMC, Mike Williams, and a 2023 2nd for my 2022 1st and Elijah Mitchell, thoughts?
14 team, 1.5 PPR TE Premium league. I am win now and just traded him an hour ago.

Peoples valuations are all over the place so I can’t honestly say what it is. You’ll have people still clinging to what his value was before the season and others thinking he’s Todd Gurley 2.0 and be worthless by next season
My team is honestly stacked and the owner of him is still learning dynasty so I was kinda asking to make sure I don’t trade rape him lol. Fair point tho ima see how my league values him as a whole I think
CMC + Chuba owner here. Not comoeting this season, but I am most sad about all of the bs offers I will be gettinf all offseason. 2nd and 3rds for CMC + Hubbard gauranteed. I'd rather ride off into the sunset HODLing CMC with Diamond Hands!
They really need to move CMC into an Aaron Jones type of workload. Let’s not forget he was 5’11” 202 pounds coming out of college, not exactly a bell cow profile. We need to keep this man on the field he’s so GD fun to watch.
So frustrating. I traded Zeke straight up for him just before his historic season & was looking forward to him running wild over that league for years to come. 3 keepers, not full dynasty, but still. Sucks to see he can't stay on the field from a fantasy & real life perspective. Spending some of his best years injured is such a shame.
You're the type I'd pray on. Rbs that have been full of injuries for 2 years don't do anything in the future.
If you own him, you'd be better off moving him before next season to get way more than he'll prove he's worth
No. That's just a stupid argument...
I also didn't call you lazy, I said your argument was lazy. Don't be so sensitive lol.
CMCs injuries aren't the kind that are known to have ruin a career.
😀 no hard feelings fam. But also I didn’t say anything about injuries. It was more from a stance of looking at how dominant both lev and Todd were, there were signs that’s they were washed and those who had them for the most part wanted to make excuses to ignore them and lost out on the chance to cash out them when they could. And reading your post you seem to be in that boat for CMC. Just a gentle reminder that those who forget the past and destined to repeat it. But I’m sure true CMC believers will dismiss all this and in a year or two will be kicking themselves. All love, you do you boo!
I feel this and I had a gut feeling that trading him the week before he came off IR was the right move. It was part of a package deal but the pieces I received for him were the 2022 1.02, 1.06, and Hollywood Brown. I’m rebuilding if that’s not obvious.
That's it, I'm moving him this off-season. 8 full games out of 33 possible in the past 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I love the points he gave me, but I don't want to deal with this headache anymore.
Wait until he blows up week 1 and sell.
Assuming he makes it through the whole game
Is Higgins, a second and CEH enough to trade away cmc?
I would
It depends, if you're a contender and need pieces to help you win yes but if you're not then you might as well just hold him and trade him next year
I worded that poorly. I am not a contender and looking for pieces next year. Cmc being one of them. I just don’t know if I can trust him at this point.
I’d rather have the Higgins and CEH and 2nd
I changed it to a 2023 second and pic and I also got his 4th in 2022
absolutely not. strongly advocate against making that trade.
As in you wouldn’t want to lose Cmc for that?
precisely. none of those assets represent the difference making ability of mccaffrey. fantasy football is about assembling a roster with as much elite output as possible. quantity does not equal equality.
Well good. I got cmc haha. My running backs next year are now Kamara, CMC, Gibson, Mitchell and Pollard. Now we pray to fantasy gods that everyone’s knees and ankles hold.
HELL NO I fully do not being injury prone the amount of guys that were forsure injury prone and now are perfectly fine is astonishing People get unlucky and that’s all.
Well I got cmc for that plus I also got a 4th round pick. Fingers crossed he can bounce back as a top back next year.
Oh u got cmc for that Then u absolutely won
Hmm
Lost CMC and Cook yesterday. So brutal. My roster was so good before the week after making a big deadline move that it made two competing (but aging) teams finally decide to pull the trigger on starting a rebuild. The only way anyone else had a chance was a run of bad luck on my part. Well... It's still good enough that I have a good shot at winning this year but it's not the same with two 20 point a week RBs down.
i softened the blow by getting cordarelle patterson a few weeks back, so i have him and gibson/clyde as my RBs. This still freaking sucks
I’m in a similar boat but with CMC and Kamara, no telling when he’ll be back
CMC and Swift
Hi fellow owner of CMC here. I also own Swift. Owned Dalvin, but traded him for Fant and Bateman (PPR & TEP 0.5) at the deadline. I'm on the borderline of playoffs this year. Now I'm sad. I still have a shot as I have Hubbard, Jamaal, and Javonte, but I'd be lying if I said I liked my odds...
Seems like a very small return on Dalvin Cook to me
Yeah it helps to have handcuffs to mitigate this kind of thing.

Lost CMC, Swift and now zeke (maybe for a month). Pain all around
same boat with cmc and swift. i still have barkley but im worried swift is in that shut down for season territory. im shopping around for a rb, i have a 1st 2nd a 3rd to offer hopefully someone trades me lol. targeting gaskin, fournette, robinson right now
Same here. Idk if it's worth going after a RB as all the contenders have the cheap pieces atm
What do you mean you lost Zeke? He’s still playing
I saw several reports that they are looking at sitting him dt a knee issue
Yeah saw those earlier but latest reports are “more touches on deck” and “Elliott to have big workload” so you’re good there 👍
Oh cool, that really helps!
I currently have CMC, Derrick Henry, Chris Carson, and JK Dobbins in a league. I’m loving life this year
Should be nice next year with a decent draft pick and all those guys.
A guy in our league traded Gibson and a 1st for Gallup, Ettienne, Dobbins, and a 2nd. Good deal but lol 3/3 injured
Man I’d do that trade in a heartbeat. I love injured buying so much especially if your team is bottom tier. I love that deal!
This was in the off-season when all were healthy lol. Tbf the guy has Gibson and Barkley which is ehhh but 6 first round picks in 2022 and I think like 3 in 2023. 1st rounder will likely be 7th overall.
I’m thanking god that I got Eli Mitchell for $51 when a couple other people put down $50
Shocked he wasn't 100% bids honestly
Same. I won him for $40 in a redraft. Drafted/Rostered in my non redraft leagues
Yeah he went for $55+ in all of my redraft leagues! Drafted or 100% bids in my dynasty leagues
Here’s me dropping $50 on Ty’Son the minute he was the only Ravens RB left 🥲
Fuck this I’m hopping off this train today.
The trade offers I’m receiving are hilarious, the most recent one is a 2nd and two 3rds for CMC
I mean, I don't think I'd send anything better than a late first for him. Dude is made of glass.
He played 16 games his first 3 seasons and has had injuries in the past 2. He played 12, 14, and 11 games in college as well
Honestly, man, the longer you hold the less you're going to get for him at this point.
For that? I’d rather let him die on my roster.
That's a very silly outlook. Better something than nothing.
Just..... no
Dude, I'm not saying he should be taking a second and two thirds, but I'd be negotiating. CMC's market value will only fall from here out.
CMC injuring different places for 2 seasons does not concern me nearly as much as Saquon injuring the same body parts in college and then multiple times over 2 seasons, and everyone is still high on him despite playing 9 games over 2 seasons and only 2 not being awful. Thought the same thing, finally had to cut Gurley. Should’ve taken low ball offers when I was still getting offers.
Where do people have him ranked now in dynasty? I'm in a rebuild and got offered CMC for Saquon straight up, not sure whether to take it or not.
Call me crazy but I’d rather have CMC than Saquon.
Its like trading a broken down Ferrari for a broken down Corvette.
Very accurate sadly
I think I would too, but not sure. Honestly I'll probably try to trade whichever one I have over the offseason, so it'd come down to whoever's likely to have better trade value.
Saquan has a chance to go on a tear late in the season and boost his capital. I don't think it happens but never say never.
He could go on a tear or he could tear something again…. I’ll show myself out
RB2. Flukey injuries. He is still the best fantasy assett in the world when he plays. Saquon not even in the same tier.
I’d take Saquon. Saquon was in his tier when they were both healthy last. CMC’s injuries trouble me more tbh. Both elite talents*
I'm low on both but give me the guy who is at least on the field right now, Saquon
Celebrating him pushing me to 2nd place two years ago. I’m sorry I wasted your prime, CMC
I was a contender I traded d’swift and waddle for CMC.
Here I thought I was good to go, with CMC, Cook, and Swift. Best laid plans right?
I had the same three and now im stuck holding the bag lol
Right?! What terrible luck to have all three go down.
just traded for him in 2 leagues where i am completely win now with all old players and no picks next 2 years. really fucking sucks
I think it’s safe to say that CMC is officially injury prone
I was denying it last time but now it’s official :(
[удалено]
Why would you do that? Harris has been balling and he's a rookie, CMC even though he is so good and a League winner it seems like every time he steps on the field he's hurt
[удалено]
You in PPR? Cause Harris is averaging like 18 a game and I'd rather have 18 a game then whatever CMC gives you for 5 games a season.
[удалено]
For me it's the way he plays, they'll dump it off to him and he'll fight a whole team for 3 yards and get hit by everyone and then they'll run a whole drive through just CMC were he'll take some nasty shots.
They need to get another RB and have a 1-2 punch kinda if like Kamara and Ingram or Pollard and Elliot
[удалено]
If I'm Carolina I'm going after Freeman if Baltimore cuts him
RIP
This was a really bad trade before the injury.
I bet that person couldn't smash accept fast enough
Bro what?
Why? That doesn’t even make sense
Id rather have mixon at this point honestly
I traded Mixon and Elijah Mitchell for CMC 3 weeks ago AMA
Ouch.
I tried this. I even offered to throw in a second. No budge, and I don’t blame him. He ended up trading me Monty for my first and damien harris though so hopefully Monty can drop 70 points a week and fill the void for CMC, Swift, Deebo, and AJB
Did any of you guys sell him high after his 2019 season? That would have had to take some major balls & foresight to pull the trigger on
I sold low in 2018 for Lev Bell thinking I got a steal. AMA
I was hoping he would push me into playoffs but I’m gonna move him this offseason. His age and injury history is really gonna hurt his value now so better to move while it’s still elite
I sent JT for CMC in my best league. What is pain.
Some douchebag in my league offered me 5 firsts earlier this year and I rejected it. Smdh… now I’m in 10th place and he’s in 1st. I hate my life.
You rejected 5 1sts?
There's no way anyone would reject that
Dang. This was tough to read. Stay up champ
Why would anyone ever reject 5 firsts lol.
My rb room of ekeler/Swift/CMC/Dillon/Carter is dwindling. On to next year
I traded for CMC after 2018, would not like to be alive right now
I only started dynasty last year 😭 was banking on cmc and Watson so needless to say I’m rebuilding now.
Traded gibson and claypool and a 3rd for CMC and a 2nd early this year. Still happy w the deal I got on him but bummed to say the least
Even though CMC is out the rest of the year and hindsight is 20/20 I think we all make that trade 100%. Hopefully next year you can flip him or he stays healthy for you
Thanks man yea def just going along w the ride for next year as of now. No chance I get any good value unless he really comes out strong next year
I traded Mixon and Elijah Mitchell for him 3 weeks ago... this hurts a lot with Kamara and AJB both hurt too
I lost every game he played in for me this year before I traded him.
I like that. I tried offering a 2nd to the Chuba owner while CMC was healthy and he instantly declined and countered with a 1st and 2nd
Some people have just unreasonable expectations...
I traded Cam Akers and Tee Higgens for Kamara in week 3 or 4 to pair with CMC. I figured I’d crush everyone on my way to the Ship…I never got to play them together and now I never will 😢
I'm the champ two years straight, don't think it will be three
Traded for CMC & Allen Robinson mid-season hoping for a late season push, but ah yeah not happening...
I’m not a contender I’m closer to having 1.01 tbh, but my team is decent and could be solid next year, the CMC owner offered me CMC, Mike Williams, and a 2023 2nd for my 2022 1st and Elijah Mitchell, thoughts?
That'd be a negative for me. Rather have Mitchell and a high first
Price check for cmc as a contender? Really don’t see any legit RBs going for him so was thinking maybe 2 mid 1sts?
Sadly I think that’s fair. I’d be willing to sell for like 2.5 firsts worth of value. 3 firsts would be an auto accept
14 team, 1.5 PPR TE Premium league. I am win now and just traded him an hour ago. Received: CEH, Pat Friermuth, 2022 1st (Likely 1.07-1.09), 2023 3rd, 2024 3rd Sent: CMC & 2022 1st (will be 1.11-1.14)
I shipped Sutton, Terry, and Damien Harris for CMC after his first game back. I am in pain
Sooo CMC value in 1 QB PPR? I’m looking to buy low
I wouldn't part ways for less than two 1sts and two 2nds, but OP is right valuations are all over the map.
Anyone have any concerns he would choose to just hang em up? As ruff as it’s been from a fantasy perspective I’m guessing he is way past frustrated.
Lost ajb, cook, and cmc all this week. Needless to say my season is over
Thought I was gonna kill the game this year with him. FUCK mah life. There’s always next year fellas
I'm already tanking this year so really it isn't hurting me that much. I will say though, it is sad to see.
They really need to move CMC into an Aaron Jones type of workload. Let’s not forget he was 5’11” 202 pounds coming out of college, not exactly a bell cow profile. We need to keep this man on the field he’s so GD fun to watch.
2018 year startup draft and I took Kamara #2 over cmc. Regretted that hard that year but maybe that wasn’t so dumb after all.
Derrick Henry and CMC owner. I never got to unleash my Ekeler, Henry, CMC three headed dragon even once.
I have Julio, Henry, hunt, Swift, MT, and Ridley.
Guy in my league looked out of the playoffs. He lost king Henry and somehow is in the mix for the 5/6 seed. Then he loses CMC again.
I traded Henry for him earlier this year. I'm neutral, but still new to the pain of CMC ownership.
Welcome to the endless cycle of suffering, I hope you enjoy your stay :)
I offered 5 1sts for him earlier this year and got rejected. That owner is now sitting in 10 place and I’m in 1st. Fucking loser.
You’re the idiot who offered 5 1sts
Lmao this guy is victory lapping over offering five firsts
If you currently own CMC. Trade him before next season. He's done. Nit worth it any more
If you’re selling, I’m buying all day
You're the type I'd pray on. Rbs that have been full of injuries for 2 years don't do anything in the future. If you own him, you'd be better off moving him before next season to get way more than he'll prove he's worth
You're they type I'd prey on. Selling an asset at his lowest value is silly. Sell him during next season when he excites again.
Ghosts of lev bell and Todd gurley have entered the chat
It's kinda lazy to compare Gurleys injury issues with CMCs.
It’s kinda lazy to call someone lazy just because they express a view different than what you want to hear. Dontcha think?
No. That's just a stupid argument... I also didn't call you lazy, I said your argument was lazy. Don't be so sensitive lol. CMCs injuries aren't the kind that are known to have ruin a career.

And reading your post you seem to be in that boat for CMC. Just a gentle reminder that those who forget the past and destined to repeat it. But I’m sure true CMC believers will dismiss all this and in a year or two will be kicking themselves. All love, you do you boo!
That's the thing, he's done, there is no more excitement.
I feel this and I had a gut feeling that trading him the week before he came off IR was the right move. It was part of a package deal but the pieces I received for him were the 2022 1.02, 1.06, and Hollywood Brown. I’m rebuilding if that’s not obvious.
