Definitely holding. Julio has never been the picture of health and he’s 59 years old now, I think gage is going to step into a starting role pretty early on as long as he can get healthy
Last season Brady pretty much supported Evans, Antonio Brown, Godwin and Gronk.
There's no great TE of note this year so I think Gage still has some flex appeal in 3 WR leagues to start the season. His ceiling is definitely capped though.
He suffers more when Godwin returns. I see him as a handcuff at that point (assuming Evans and Julio are both still healthy).
Gotta hold him. I'm not worried about Julio and Gage is there to essentially take ABs role. Plenty of targets to go around in that offense. He may be hit and miss some weeks, but the guy will definitely hold some flex value the way I see it.
Hold. My only real concern with Gage was I was hoping for immediate production with the Godwin injury. Now Gage is injured and it’s looking like this is Brady’s last year. Maybe a free agent QB comes in but I think it would be a downgrade.
Where's that talk? I don't have Gage, and have considerable shares of the other three, but I've only heard Brady praise Gage and talk about how he told Licht that he absolutely needed to go get Gage this offseason.
Yeah that was early on in the season. I’m paraphrasing here but recently he has said stuff to the likes of “he’s gotta keep working hard at it, get on the same page, etc”. As a long time Brady stan, that’s basically his way of saying he doesn’t trust you. Maybe they get there at some point but Julio has definitely surpassed him in the Brady circle of trust.
Yeah, I honestly think he could have a career year. Fully worth the cost of a late second/early third next year for a true competitor this year, even if it's Julio's last year. I have no regrets about getting him on my teams that are all-in.
Cheers!
That comment your referring to wss from back in June minicamp. In August at the actual Training Camp, Bowles was quoting saying they have "a natural vibe" and all the reports coming out were that the chemistry between them was better than expected already.

Lol. Tom Brady is 12 years older than Julio.
Last time I checked Julio was born in 1932. But I’ll let you do the math, it was never my strong suit
I don’t think it’s your math that’s the problem ;)

Julio will pull his hamstring after 2 quarters. Gage is a fine depth piece
From the way Brady has talked about him, I have a feeling that he kinda hates him. Definitely not gonna be a target hog but still worth to hold.

Very good to know - thanks. I'd missed out on the guarded phrasing. Makes me even more confident in my crazy shares of Julio.
If Julio manages to stay healthy he’s gonna have a very good year with Brady. Let’s hope he does!
