Make a budget sheet and consider tax/insurance/rent as lost money already. If you’re at the very bottom, consider applying for government assistance. Also I’m not sure why your insurance is $500+, if you’ve gotten into accidents or whatever before. It should be around $150/month average in most places. Maybe it’s 500/year.

I had an accident in November my policy was 150 in my city that's actually reasonable.

How bad was the accident and how much were you at fault for it?

Minimal damage on both ends. It was my fault and no one was hurt, they just need a new rim and an alignment it all happened in slow traffic.
