EDL is self destruct? What the hell are you talking about. Qualcomm processors have EDL mode for deep flashing the firmware if you bricked your phone. You can simply hold the button combination to restart your phone and it should be fine.
I’ll hold both the volume up button and the power button at the same time. It is not working. The articles I read told me the reason it is not working is because putting my phone into that mode cause the phone to hard brick. I believe it said it was common too, so I just wish there was a warning for that.
Then again, the fact that this was easy to find once I looked it up, means it was common enough to say that it’s mostly my fault. It’s common knowledge that you shouldn’t delete system 32. I guess it was common knowledge not to hit that mode
EDL is almost the same as booting to fastboot/download/recovery mode, It is never supposed to delete anything, and it's not even made for that. I booted quite a few phones to EDL mode accidentally, and also reflashed the firmware using it.
It could be stuck in EDL mode. You have a few options here:
1. Wait for the phone's battery to die and them charge it, maybe it works.
2. Connect the phone to PC, in device manager it should show up as QCOM Bulk Usb or something like that, you can get the drivers from the internet, firmware and software to reflash the phone's firmare using edl.
