Ehm.. dupes are completely normal. Even low SCL players here have dupe 2s in their farm..

dum-Skill

Wouldn't you have to manipulate the game to duplicate though?

J_Taylor85

Nope, it just costs you another roster spot. You can have unlimited numbers of the same character, in fact a lot of players keep certain characters covered strictly for sending team ups to alliance members. For example, only having 5 covers of a 3* Deadpool’s purple so it’s a guaranteed Whales,Whales,Whales team up. Or 1* Black Widows stun power

dum-Skill

It's just something I've never seen before so I was confused

LurkerX_NIR

I think whales need just 1 purple. ...or else I keep sending my alliance garbage.

Daiches

5 cover means the TU is also somewhat useful without firing full Whales Whales Whales

LurkerX_NIR

How much damage would you get for 14ap then? It seems like there are better aoe options if you're scrimping on Deadpool points.

Daiches

5k instead of 2k. Not that much different, but sometimes.. Just make sure your Widows are the full 5 covers (and your Ghost Riders). Those not being 5 covers are a very nasty surprise.

LurkerX_NIR

Yes. I've been on the wrong end of that surprise.

dum-Skill

Okay

chiefpassh2os

All you need is 1 purple for the whales to be an instakill

Daiches

Lol.. why do you think that? You just need an open slot to roster a dupe. Go look at almost any roster.

dum-Skill

Oh it's just something I've never seen before that's all. My bad

No-Landscape8210

There will be a star button on the top right corner when you see covers

ResumeFluffer

You used to. It wouldn't apply new covers to the correct dup without jumping through hoops to get it done. But now it's easy. They added the option to "recruit again" several updates ago.

asilentway

Resourcewise, triple dupes is easily doable from early 5* land on, seems rather wasteful to me though. One maxed champ and one duplicate to eternally recycle is the way to go.

Daiches

I keep double max Thanos 3 because I use him in every node almost and so I don’t have to worry too much about Hulk Death taking away health.

kevinc13x

they are variants from other multi verses

phantalien

This is just a 3* farm. Once you get further in the game the 2* farm doesn't cut it. This person just has enough resources to have these rostered. It doesn't mean that they are whales or even manipulating the game.

dum-Skill

Okay thank you. I just have never seen something like it before so I had to figure it out but okay thank you.

Que_sax23

Can anyone tell me the point of doing this? Is it just saving spots until you get a better cover?

Daiches

Less healthpacks for essentials, as the game will take the highest health maxed character (it won’t auto switch to lower level characters). But that’s relatively minor. Mostly the dupe spot is to always have a maxed character for all content. It’s the max champ dupe you sell to reroster.

dum-Skill

Thank you Daiches for the info on everything. I always like to see your advice and tips on mpq. Especially this lol.

Que_sax23

Ok makes sense. Thanks so much!

Outrageous-Call-9445

It’s farming. You’ll ‘grow’ that second character and sell them when they are fully champed. They sell and gain more on each level than it cost to level them up.

Que_sax23

Ok thank you

ResumeFluffer

It's the best way to farm your three stars until you're into five star land and don't need them as much. I still do it for my favorites and for necessities like 3* Deadpool when he maxes out, but my other characters tend to be strong enough to work without strong 3*s now.

CloudyPlacebo17

Too much time on their hands
