I can see XMR be the future defacto for private crypto.
This year is just not the time. It's all about Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi and NFTs.
Private coins will have their moments in the near future when people are increasingly longing for privacy.
I'd just HODL this motherf\*\*\*er until the "time" comes lolol
When BTC hit 1K, people said it couldnt go higher, then 13K, then now it just hit 50K.
Monero time will come.
I definitely agree !
My only concern is XMR's anonymity.. its its biggest strength but also its biggest risks as governments will certainly attempt regulating it.
They can see Monero as a whole, and pressure exchanges to delist it which would arguably be bad for the price. They can’t TAX what they can’t see, but they sure as hell can try to regulate it.
Monero isn't "more private" than BTC. It is untraceable. BTC is all on a PUBLIC ledger. If you are going to use BTC you should just use bank wires it's cheaper. There is no such thing as electronic cash. that is why Monero is the most important and useful currency.
I agree - so long as US regulations accept and allow Monero trading, Monero will blow up.
I'm just worried that the complete privacy (i.e. Electronic Cash) will come under heavy attack by regulators if an exchange like Coinbase picks it up. Rumor is Coinbase wants to launch Monero but they don't due to a threat of lawsuit from the SEC.
I think the risk is well worth getting into Monero asap.

Boy I heard a lot of similar doubts re:bitcoin itself back in 2014/15
Believe in Monero as much as you think you deserve its privacy
I’m with ya, I would take $1k or so tho !
XMR will hit 10,000 USD a coin by 2025. XMR is the only useful coin. Electronic Cash. Something the world does not have and needs.

get in now before coinbase picks up XMR. XMR wil 10x once it's on coinbase.
Atomic swaps dont give a fuck about regulations
But they are traceable, the coins you get can be blakc listed and not accepted
Part of this is because coinbase’s KYC for fiat is basically nothing compared to other exchanges (kraken, for example).
Also faster confirms, lower tx fees, and tail emissions (low, steady, predictable inflation)
What would the market cap be at $10k in 2025?
