It's okay. The sub supports banning ppl who don't break the rules, so certainly the "super-stonk" ppl, who are breaking a forum rule, will get banned.

5 dollar cost averaging on pltr. I donāt have a lot of money to invest with but I want to slowly buy into a bullish ai market, I love hate this company and I like the long term vision or path this company takes but I feel like they will be leaders despite all the bearish/negative press and pr. I hope we all make it, sooner or later. happy weekend palinteers.
I prefer palantard, but Iāll forgive you. Thereās likely going to be a tech/AI pullback in the coming weeks. That could bring us back down to the $12-13 range, or lower. I base this on the fact that Jim Cramer is now promoting AI stocks: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/06/01/jim-cramer-names-his-magnificent-seven-stocks-that-are-the-real-deal.html
I like the way u think btw i def need to see a psyh n get on some meds
But if you long in pltr u at one point were crazy.
Feeling very tempted to short here. The recent moves due to the AI hype have been incredible. Insiders (Shayam) are again cashing out in big numbers. There are easier ways to make money going long on other stuffs, but very tempted here.
How do you know that Shayam is cashing out?
[He filed a Form 4 on Thursday.](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1321655/000132165523000058/xslF345X03/wk-form4_1685666533.xml) The majority of their sales are generally tax-related, but there's been some more profit-taking, especially by Sankar, during this run-up. If you're going to hold PLTR for more than a swing, this is mandatory information. Most sales occur quarterly, about a week after earnings when their RSUs vest.
If Shayam is feeling that this is the top here, naturally so will others in management. That put a lid on the price in the near term, which is safety for the shorts.
From Palantir's website: [https://investors.palantir.com/financials/sec-filings](https://investors.palantir.com/financials/sec-filings) * The company must disclose insider trades, in this case a sale. The SEC Form 4 contains the transaction information and explanations. Direct link from the above website is to Mr. Sankar's sales is: https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0001321655/384f33f4-ebc9-47c1-bf0a-ce25aed4ce51.pdf Or directly from the SEC using the search here: [https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/](https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/) Type in the name of the person or company to see filings related to them. Here's Mr. Sankar's form 4 hosted directly from the SEC: [https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1321655/000132165523000058/xslF345X04/wk-form4\_1685666533.xml](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1321655/000132165523000058/xslF345X04/wk-form4_1685666533.xml) Most important information from the company will be in the SEC filings, especially quarterly/annual reports (10-Q and 10-K, respectively), and Proxy Statements released several weeks prior to the annual shareholder meeting. These filings are far more informative than anything you'll read in the mainstream media (which I believe most investors should ignore -- reporters often don't know what they're talking about, and business news outlets will often lie for their hedge fund friends)
Thanks for sharing this for what is probably the twentieth time. I finally bookmarked it. Do you know if there is a good place to see all current, major insider holdings and all known, future SBC? Or do we basically just have to scroll through every form to keep tabs on it?
I have a comprehensive spreadsheet that I shared a long time ago in a thread here but discontinued access. If thereās interest I could open it back up.
Please do that\~\~!!
I'm interested.
Sure, anytime. As far as I know, there's no real time tracker for insider holdings. The form 4s sometimes state how many shares or options of a certain type the insider still owns. The annual proxy statements issued before the shareholder meeting do contain major holdings as of a certain date, and all future known SBC. At the Palantir SEC filings website section ([https://investors.palantir.com/financials/sec-filings](https://investors.palantir.com/financials/sec-filings)), you can filter for year and document type. Select "Proxy Filings" We can look at the 2023 filing as an example: [https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0001321655/9c69897d-4fcb-4c85-9934-5fe8ab6ea7d9.pdf](https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0001321655/9c69897d-4fcb-4c85-9934-5fe8ab6ea7d9.pdf) Page 32 (in the executive compensation section) has a table with all outstanding options awards and RSUs. You can see how many options are left, the strike prices, and expiry dates. Page 43 has a table showing how many shares of each class insiders and major shareholders own as of a certain date (in this case, April 12, 2023)
Fantastic response, as usual. Thanks, man. Have a nice weekend!
I suppose there was less reaction to this because of AIPCon and the jobs report. Curious to find out what happens on Monday.
I know itās wrong to question PLTRās merits. This is me being purely hypothetical. If, HYPOTHETICALLY, you were to criticize one aspect of this company, what would be your greatest criticism/concern? For me, and just remember this is only hypothetical because PLTR is perfect, my biggest gripe is their marketing. I want flashy, short presentations of their products. I get who their current customers are, but still⦠theyāll be working with medium sized businesses soon enough. I think their general communication with the public could use some refining (hypothetically).
Critics should be precise, not hypothetical. A lot of people here are too delusional in their beliefs in such myths as Karp's personality, the underlying hard-to-grasp/understand business, the AI, Tesla-like success, unique technology, a product that sells itself, comparisons with 30 years ago business successes, a monopoly in the IT sector where already multiple over trillion dollars companies are competing wildly, Thielās genius, some ethic that needs to be protected, the companyās cult, faith in investment, and some miracles which are needed for the company to succeed. There is nothing wrong to question anything, especially in investments. If investors will be more cynical, critical, demanding, brave, realistic, and cold-blooded toward themselves, the companyās management, metrics, and perspectives, maybe there will be some progress toward more clear, effective, and precise strategies and decisions in such areas as sales, advertisement, communication, pricing, growth, profitability, compensations, and productsā quality. Otherwise, there will be even more disregard from management toward investors who are hesitant to criticize loudly the management and the company.
>I know itās wrong to question PLTRās merits. It's not wrong. If you're a shareholder, you're a legal owner of some % of Palantir's business and scrutiny is often necessary. You have every right to question the company whether you're an owner or prospective owner of PLTR stock. I've held TSLA shares for almost 12 years now and I am consistently re-evaluating Tesla's business and risk factors
>what would be your greatest criticism/concern? The biggest risk I see is that their efforts to automate deployments might not be enough. The company consequently might not scale its business like a SaaS because they will continue to be reliant on Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) teams. If business growth is linear with manpower requirements, Palantir will not grow revenue fast enough to maintain higher valuations. Mitigating this risk is Palantir's efforts to foster a developer community for Foundry. If customers can install and configure the systems themselves, and develop applications themselves, the requirement for Palantir FDEs may decrease significantly.
I question if they are charging enough money for the value they are providing. I question if they are going to be able to capitalize on growth.
The dumbest thing this board can do is silence criticism...and it's already started.
This board has never silenced criticism. It silences douchebags. Plenty of people talk about their concerns, bear theses, sales, etc. without drawing ire. We tend to downvote "š" and "wen moon" comments as much as anything.
Like that guy that was bragging about being all cash when PLTR was around 7. I was buying on those days. Good times.
Why is it wrong? Itās the best thing you can do lol. Management arrogance is my answer, which has some sub-bullets but is pretty self-explanatory.
With regards to that, how does that concern you most? The fact it may be off putting to potential customers/investors? The fact it may prevent necessary changes within the company? Something else, perhaps? And would you prefer a different CEO or just better PR training?
All of the above except a different CEO, I think Karp is fine for the most part and a good cross-filter given his background to be the figurehead. My beef is when I hear Karp or Sankar talk or write, itās generally verbose and filled with hubris about how awesome the company is. Kind of like: āwe make amazing software and our policy is you can buy it or fuck off.ā This can have all kinds of backlash as you mentioned, whether itās internal or external to the company. Itās gotten better but along with the arrogance is the compensation, which obviously hasnāt changed, but itās very difficult for me to continue tolerating their SBC multiple with growth being drastically lower than I wouldāve hoped. Itās not a deal breaker for me, clearly, but it does sit at the forefront of my mind. Less talking, more doing, and how about no more selling stock unless itās for taxes? Almost 3 years of liquidity, stop slapping shareholders in the face.
Itās times like this Iām reminded of when Matthew Mconaughey played himself in The Wolf of Wall Street and said: "OK, first rule of Wall Street - Nobody - and I don't care if you're Warren Buffet or Jimmy Buffet - nobody knows if a stock's going up, down or f-ing sideways..." He obviously didnāt know about PLTR. WE ALL KNOW THIS STOCK IS GOING UP!!! TAKE THIS AS FINANCIAL ADVICE!!! PLTR IS GOING TO THE MOON!!! š š THERE IS A 0% CHANCE OF FAILURE!!! We broke $15 this week. Donāt forget it. This past month has been great. I feel totally vindicated after the last few years. My guess is weāll be at a stable $25 EOY. Q2 and Q3 earnings are going to be like Christmas.
Lol, nobody knows, yet, we all know?
I know almost all only care about the share price for me i realy proud palantir steps in where there is a crisis corona, earthquakes(turkey) and ukraine we always come in helping
What would come after this eerily quiet week? More quiet or some new movements?
