I think rumors about the next earnings report will drive the price action. If lots of meaty contracts come out or are rumored about it could lead to a big run up prior to earnings. Depending on the results if even perceived by the market as not as strong as "expected" by the market it will come down post earnings. I think that it will be pumping for a while but if earnings aren't a blow out it will come down some. Q3 we will be looking for 4 consecutive quarters of profitability then we get to play with the big boys. Hold on

I just sold some $17c for Friday. $20 a month out isn't unreasonable, but that made me more nervous than $14.50 > $17 in a week. Totally agree on the hostility problem, but it's understandable. A lot of us got burned on that. Imo, selling CCs is like putting your head in the mouth of the lion. You can make good money doing it, but you'd better be damn sure the lion isn't hungry. And even then, you never know...

Agreed, I more so bought them with plans if have a red day, going to try and buy back for wuick 30 % gain, I rarely hold till expiration unless stock just plummeted. When we were on the way down, I had lost a bit more than I should have because I leveraged to $5 2024 LEAPS. I rode those puppies down from around $15 to $8, and then I said, "Screw it," and swapped all of them for 2025 $10 LEAPS. I'm currently up almost 200% on those. Feels good, man.

Until I stop believing in the company, which is not going to happen in the foreseeable future. My long-term plan is to sell CCs as the company matures and to continue buying more shares with the profits. I believe Palantir is going to be one of the undisputed winners of the next 20 years and that in that process it will at times attain absurd valuations, not unlike how TSLA, FAANG, or defense stocks have in the past. I will not sell until it is has been a "no brainer" buy for at least a few years, at a minimum. And honestly, I probably won't even do it then, since CCs at that point are going to offer a lot of value.

I don't disclose # of shares, but PLTR today makes up about 3% of my total portfolio. I have shared my asset allocation in the past and continue to do so. It is currently: 20% Generic Index Funds/ETFs 75% TSLA 3% PLTR 2% various genomics (ARKG, DNA, etc.) TSLA makes up an unusually high % of my holdings because I bought most of my shares in 2011-2012 and never sold them. Most of the $ I saved from earnings I invested in Index Funds and ETFs.

I’m so glad I kept buying down in that range. My only regret is that I didn’t have more cash on hand to keep buying. I’d be thrilled to have a couple more thousand shares.

I bought all the way down to 7. The cash I set aside to invest in PLTR last year ran out before the low of around 6. I wish I could have picked up shares at the bottom, but timing the highs and lows is usually impossible.

I was very happy buying at $6,$7,$8. It’s going to be an awesome combination of the macro environment becomes incredibly positive long term again and if Palantir executes. I have this vision of those things lining up with S&P inclusion (which wasn’t even a possibility in my mind originally). I think if we have this kind of perfect storm of positive things happening we could be in for some real appreciation.

I feel ya. Shoulda bought more, but I really bought as much as I was comfortable buying. Everyone's got different risk tolerances and balancing strategies. For me, I did the best I could and even took on more risk than I was really comfortable doing.

I’ve got quite a few shares that have more than doubled. The problem is I also have a whole bunch that are in the $20-$25 range. I’m tempted to sell off about 20% of my highest cost basis and see if we pull back in the next 30 days so I can re-buy. I’m just afraid of getting punished with a continued increase. I know those days are coming, I’m just not sure if they are here yet.

i did that with one huge block i had bought at $24. I aint trying that again though. When I did it, there were only like 10 of us on the daily contributing.

You could sell Jan 2025 25c for close to 300 a pop. Make like 3k in preimum and you’d sell at cost basis and your other shares can ride up.
