It's okay folks. All is good and we'll kick some butt tomorrow!

does anyone understand why in trading view, today's daily candle shows 227M shares traded, while on 30 minute candles the volume of all candles adds up to 29M shares? I'm trying to look at the volume for clues... I notice that 10M shares (of the 29M showing in 30 min candles) traded in the first hour of the trading day during the ride up and over 16.5 on the way back down... compared to past bars and past days (on 30 min bars) it seems incredibly bullish.
I feel bad for whoever bought my calls.
Someone bought my $25 covered calls for next week
Ooof
unless you set a limit order that wasn't immediately accepted, your calls would have been bought by an MM who immediately hedged them and therefore didn't lose anything. They'll profit off the theta and spread.
I was up well over 100% I still haven’t sold a single share it’s also almost half my portfolio at this point. I just don’t know what else I would buy right now. Lol
what a day
Sold my Friday puts at +110% Calls are for August & November so I’m still feeling good 😎 😎 😎
imagine waiting all that time when it was sub 10 only to miss the spike, chase and get instant bag holded
My condolences to anyone that chased with call options. You sacrifice will be added to the ledger.
down 50% on my $15 yolo calls lmao
a tale as old as time. my man, i love following your moves
Everytime I touch options, they go to shit.
I got in at $17 today. Sorry guys
My buy in average is $16. I dollar cost averaged in small amounts from $25 all the way down to $7 from 2021 through 2022. PLTR shareholders are the owners of Palantir's business. You now own part of a business with great potential! Consider from the perspective of a business owner: where is this company going to be in 10 years? The indicators I see are that Palantir's software platforms are on the brink of a big jump in customer adoption. Tyson Foods uses Palantir Foundry to manage its operations. Panasonic began using Foundry to make battery cell production more efficient, and now plans to use Foundry throughout all its operations at Gigafactory Nevada (joint venture with Tesla). Panasonic's future cell factory in Kansas will use Foundry from the start. I expect volatility and uncertainty to continue. However, Palantir's situation today is stronger than it has ever been. The software works and delivers substantial monetary value to clients. The business case for Foundry and Apollo is IMO heavily on our side
I'm thinking that the close alignment between Panasonic and Tesla may lead to a deal with PLTR and Tesla. Thoughts??
Tesla probably won't use Foundry in the near future. This is because Tesla has enormous in-house software development capabilities, and currently uses its proprietary enterprise operating system to manage everything from HR to Logistics. However, if Palantir Foundry became better than what Tesla uses currently, I could see them layering Foundry over what they already have. I think other Tesla automotive components suppliers would be more likely to use Foundry if Panasonic continues to use Foundry with success. So the companies that make plastics, brakes, electrical wiring, glass, and much more, are potential Palantir customers
Don’t stress - my first buys were in the mid twenties. It’s been fun.
We welcome your commitment with open arms.
I get that everyone is holding forever & no one really worries about short term swings, but intraday was a dick punch today.
If this was my first experience with PLTR it would be a real bummer. If you’ve held for a few years then you’ve seen some shit and wouldn’t be phased most likely.
Facts. We held through thick and thin for over a year and finally we see the sun through the clouds
it was not ideal, but so it goes.
 After hours 🙄
we will be okay, Dork!
Seems like the thread mood has stayed positive. I was afraid we were going to have to link the suicide hotline number again. Keep your heads up - we will resume our climb before you know it.
My position is green so I’m just chilling
We got some froth that needs to come out. Totally fine with me. If it dips below my cost basis, i am more than fine stopping buying disney and picking up more share of PLTR
Is Disney a good buy right now? I may need another stock.
ehh. up for debate. I think it is, but others think its PE ratio is still way too high. For me, I just cant bet against disney in the long run. love how they are positioned for the future and their IP library. I do think the water will be choppy for a long time as they look for Iger replacement, and figure out what the hell to do with all they have aquired, but feel its a good time for me to make it a core position.
Cool, I’ll check it out.
that was feeling real good before it went back down like $3
This sub getting spoiled so fast lol. Today was a beautiful day. Stocks go up and down. Keep your zen state of mind and dont get assigned when we finish cooling off
Who did we think we were this morning? Going up on good news, no no no. We are palantards.
If today makes you sad… have you tried looking at the YTD chart? More inbound calls in a month than previous years, expanding gov and commercial work, and profitability leading to an imminent inclusion in the S&P. For newer folks, we used to fight over whether the “thesis was intact” around here. I feel like now it’s a question of just how much of this AI market we can take. Outstandingly bullish long term.
I'm just sad I chickened out on the $18 CCs I sold when it was still clinging to $16.80. $16.80. Fuck. Lol
Bought the dip
Bought another 30 shares at the bottom today, hold on tight everyone this thing is gonna be volatile for a while.
[Mood.](https://youtu.be/f-eJcCDhHcI?t=184) (Headphone warning.)
Bought some shares for the first time since $8
1.5mil at 10:06:00 est at the top and another 1.5 mil at 1:04:30 How much do you want to bet Cathie FOMO'd and bought the top and then also bought closer to the bottom to hide it by averaging the cost basis. Watch for an announcement of 3mil shares tonight 😅🚀🌙
haha bag holders created every day
Rename the thread to PLTR support group
Some new bagholders were created today. Welcome, friends.
My new friends, let me tell you how the next 2 years of your life will go...
rough day, but bound to happen. we dip below 13.01, ill be there and ready to buy.
Would love to buy more around 10-11 for the 401k.
Rough day indeed or as we used to call it "wednesday"
just day after day of deep red. what a time
Yeah kinda crazy how it just went down in a straight line for over 12 months.
That weekly candle is absolutely insane
Rough day. -15% from peak to now lol. Brutal
Bro I was posting as a bear and the stock went up. I made one positive comment about the AIP pltr video. I will never post as a bull again.
What's with the various tech stocks going down? Anybody know what could the reasons be?
Institutes taking profit, simple as that. As long as you aren't risking a large % of your money on options, you're totally fine. PLTR is a long term gem, just keep adding up and down
The volume is insane today.
I don't even want it to rebound back up anymore, just ring the fucking bell so it doesn't go any lower.
Does this company have any debt?
No
Well this seems fucking great pick then
Welcome to the club friend
Thank you
Cry
Bought some $15c for this Friday
I thought you were done with those types of plays.
Sold them at broke even lmao
And I should’ve lmao. These $15c ain’t doing too well. I was gambling with the cover call premiums .
Yea, this is looking ugly, but it was overdue.
Those are gonna play well. gl
Added 111 more.
I just bought options at the buttom at exactly 2 pm omg i will get soo fkn rich now 🤑
Can’t wait for you to fuck this up.
you don’t have to wait for long 😭😭😭
Lmao - Good luck.
my friends NOW is the time to buy!! 🤑🤑🤑
Maybe in a couple weeks when it's lower . I'm looking at 12:50

I’ve been patient for a long time
Though I still contend this is Canada and bond rates, How much do you want to bet Karp executed on his "notice of *proposed* sale" from a couple of days ago and sold 4mil$ around the 17$ mark.. i guess he gets a new skiing horsie for his megabarn. Fortunately a day like today is exactly the type of day Cathie would like to buy on. We proved 17$+ is feasible even short term and now 15$ seems like a steal when you have money inflowing that needs to be allocated somewhere. She's been buying RKLB pretty much every day along with some others and PLTR seems like a better trade now.
Nasty selloff
Wait for the buy back...lol
Back to $17 EOD
We were at $14.36 on the beginning of the day on Monday, only two days ago. We are over $14.80 right now. $14.80 is a solid price, an appreciable gain for the week. It only seems like a huge loss because we had a huge gain. The big price swings don't matter in the long term.
Come to defence
A whale just opened $260k worth of 14.5p 6/23
And someone sold it to them.
MM that sold it to them stays delta neutral by shorting the stock or other complicated ways.

I work nights. I saw +10% before taking a nap. WTF?
Markets are also freaking out just a lil because of shananigans in the Congress... Conservatives blockade House floor in latest mutiny against GOP leadership. See https://www.foxnews.com/politics/conservatives-blockade-bills-gop This too shall pass.
I'm 100% sure this isn't the cause, it is the bond yield increase spurred by Canada un-pausing and ruining the pause narrative for the US.
It's all of the above. People don't like instability in any form, but, this is how markets behave. Doesn't change the value of a good company.
The political stuff really seems like nothing. What are they blocking? Debt deal has passed, nothing else matters.. Have you watched any CSpan? Half of Congress is just them making speeches to recognize accomplishments of people and schools in their states to secure votes for the next election by giving people their 30 seconds of fame.
Yes but logic doesn't factor into retail investing. They've done studies on this. This is one of the reasons why the government added mechanisms to slow the drop in stock when the entire market falls a certain percentage all at once...
Sure, whatever, agree to disagree at this point
Sure, disagree with academic peer reviewed research and dozens of scholars who spent careers studying this. Whatever makes you feel good at this point, right? Edit: I'm sure the comment from the user above and below, which he posted right before down voting all my comments and then sending a nasty adhominem attack and then blocking me so I couldnt respond speaks volumes. To everyone else, know that math and science are on your side. This is a good company, keep in good spirits! I'm unable to respond to new comments because of the block. So, feel free to message me directly if you really want to discuss these ideas more.
Lmao yes "Trust the math and science that I forgot to provide." I can see the argument for science but what math? You didn't provide any?? LOL.
Ahhh...thanks.
Lmaoooo now THIS is the PLTR I'm used to
All is good. Just the long time people who finally were breaking even bailing. They don't want the extra payout that the rest of us will be getting. Enjoy the long term ride! Plan to see this silly stuff happening again at $20, $25, maybe even $30....
Green EOD.
To everyone lamenting not being able to average down anymore: You have been heard.
OWICHIE
OGs know that Palantir moves in either direction violently. Today has been wild!
Was really hyped to see 16, didn’t think I’d see it up and down 🤣
Welcome to PLTR, new guys. We were born in the red.
Molded by it.
Here comes that better price y’all asked for
When the better price arrives, everyone panic and none of them bought
Almost missed these kinda days 😂
The new guys need to bag Hold In to single digits before the real Move Up.
13% intra-day drop, its like the good old days!
Is there something we should know??
Gamma works both ways. This is what happens when a stock is a haven for degen gamblers.
Agreed. The degen gamblers did not push this thing from $7 to $15 though. That was real suit & tie bankers.
They did , you can see the call option flows and it was extremely heavy on the call side.
13f’s say otherwise.
1 red day and everyone’s panicky. We had months of this shit.
Going from +10% to -3% in a single day is pretty wild
True. Just numb to it 😂 $40 to $6 🤮
\-3% so far (and now -4.6%.... so far) it's just funny at this point \+37k to -6k on my portfolio :s
Can we do +10 to -10% for shits and giggles?
please no
Ok, fine

I know it’s on a pretty nice run lately but this is a wild intraday swing since 10 am lmao Jesus Christ
God dammit, the raw doggin is real
Q4 will be worth the wait - patience pays
This is the first big red candle since the pump after earnings.
Judging from the last few days price action, market is "thinking" about rotating from tech back to value and industrial (ie., Nasdaq back to Dow). I recommend selling here. Not just covered calls. **Sell**. No position in PLTR (either short or long).
Yeah mr. Market can have other plans for tomorrow. Your recommendation isn’t based on anything
Every once in a while, things become quite obvious. AAPL is trading at 30x earnings at 2% growth. Tech has rallied tremendously this year and fundamentals is again untethered to reality. Tech is due for a pullback and high beta like PLTR has the most to fall. Why is it so difficult for the faithful to see? Genuinely curious.
We're aware that PLTR has over stretched it's valuation during this run since earnings, but I'm holding for a long time regardless. Can't be bothered penny flipping 500 shares. Rather just focus time elsewhere and wait.
>but I'm holding for a long time regardless. A lot of ppl fancy themselves holding on to a sliding stocks. Most can't.
Lol gtfo
As always, the faithful will be hurt the most.
Your opinions are bad, and you should feel bad.
This is the kind of stock the longs who held this at 6-7 wil only buy under 10 Yours truly standing by if that happens
i’m holding
Despite the pullback today, I am now only down like a grand on my cost average for pltr after painstakingly averaging down and holding for years… I’m confident we’ll make it above $17.50 per share pretty soon. Not only because that happens to be my cost average but also because pltr has some really good news going for it this time
If you bought in at $17, remember this: A Palantard is never late, nor is he early; he buys precisely when he means to.
Can you guys please start buying NOW?! 🥹
Bro what is going on?! This can’t be real 😭
Tell me you've been here less than six months without telling me you've been here less than six months.
he's been here way longer than you I bet, I don't recognize your name at all and I've been here years, zipcode boy's been here years as well.
lol ok.
Anybody knows why pltr is dropping eventhough had good news 🤔, 😔?
Someone posted that we couldn't do lotr memes when we hit $20. Shame on them.
First time? 🥲
No,but you hope that it will continue the uptrend after having for 3 years, don't you think 🤔?
I’m indifferent to daily price moves
SNOW and AI getting clobbered.
At least someone here is following stocks other than PLTR.
I called 10 at earning, 15 by Memorial Day at 20 bybthe 4th...holding 12k shares. A few scalping days will happen before 30.
Twas a great run. Nasdaq looks like it wants to drop big time
Alas, someone who still have a head on his shoulder.
Oh, I plan to hold this for years, just saying.
That's fine. As long as investors understand where some of the gain (and potentially loss) comes from, they can prob stomach the volatility.
I was up 37k for the day and am now only up 7k. Boohoo
now only up 2600. Luckily I'm in far out calls and today's spike increased the IV enough that PLTR Jan17'25 30C is still up 6.5%, June21'24 is still up 4.5%
You’re playing with more dollars than I am, but I essentially had a 90% profit day and now I’m… back in the red.
Stop limit order is in @ $15,20. Right above my CB. If it hits, i’m out for a while.
I'm turning in to a sad panda but at least we aren't -6% like AI/SNOW/NET/PATH
spoke too soon. Roko's basilisk is out to get me I think.
We used to be on a glide path to $20 now we’d be lucky if we end up green this day. Canada’s fault?
we flew too close to the sun bros
Who would ever buy at 16.50 🤡🤡🤡- me fml
Month ago I’d be happy with 12 now I’m bitching we got beat back under 17 lol
Plz fly again lol
was it canada that had a huge sell off earlier?
no, Canada raised interest rates (they previously paused several months ago) and that caused US bond prices to go up to price in a hike for next Wednesday's FOMC, which causes US stocks to sell off.
Remember going from $13.89 to $14.75 back down to $14.25 last week, now we’re at $16 🤞🏼
Here's my position: https://on.soundcloud.com/er1hu
I know that upper whick is a bad story for the TA folks but if we manage to hold 16$ on the close then it's a huge biggy. Not to mention yesterday was our first time holding 15$. Chin up folks, Canada doesn't have to wreck your day.
As soon as the stock take a downturn the usual individuals show up. Guys get some therapy seriously. Please keep begging us to sell.
After the last few weeks, I find management jumping on the AI bandwagon and, intentionally or not, pumping the stock price reprehensible. This company was never at the forefront of AI and now they suddenly are claiming to be an AI player. What does that say about the characters of Karp and co. that they jump on the next big thing as soon as they sense market is hyping in that direction? That tells me they're very good stock promoter, and I don't want a part of that. All in all, the fundamentals do not support the recent 120%+ move from recent lows. It's fine if ppl want to hold on to a stock based on hype and momentum, but the drawdown can be as vicious as the move up. I would copy management and sell here.
What are your technical qualifications? Who are you to say it’s not an AI play?
https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220714005219/en/Palantir-Named-a-Leader-in-AIML-Platforms-by-Independent-Research-Firm Get the fuck out of here with your nonsense if you don’t have a clue.
you're giving me this businesswire garbage as proof that PLTR is an AI player?
An article citing a report by a company that actually knows what it’s talking about compared to a troll on the internet. Yes. Enjoy being a salty boy.
You assume they know how to read.
everyone can see you suffer on the inside. hope you well young man
Why would I suffer? I am neither long nor short with PLTR. I simply commented on management's actions whenever I see fit, and believe me, they rarely look out for shareholders. This goes for all companies, from railroads to tech.
Wait? So you are neither long nor short but are on the board commenting? Maybe you just want to be heard and have a strong opinion but I don’t get it…What would be the point. Not trolling, would actually like to know why. Edit; I love/respect both bulls and bears. The issue is not your negative tone or the statement that managements actions must be held accountable. I just don’t get in this business if you don’t have any skin in the game why you would spend time on this subreddit.
>Wait? So you are neither long nor short but are on the board commenting? Maybe you just want to be heard and have a strong opinion but I don’t get it…What would be the point. Not trolling, would actually like to know why. Believe it or not, I research a lot of companies without ever being long or short on them. In fact, 90% of companies I researched on I took no financial position for various reasons. That should apply to all buy-side investors btw: most of your research on companies should be made to thrown away, not as an article of faith to provide more reasons for buying/selling. It actually baffles me that retail think having a strong opinion means the opinion holder must have some ulterior motive. How many companies have you done thorough research on? My opinion comes from my research, and PLTR belongs in the basket of overvalued company at $15 and a decent but not "good enough" candidate for shorting right now.
Sounds good. We do the exact thing (we have a board of 200 companies give or take that we are always arguing about) but I’m not retail in that capacity. I just would never think of coming on boards. I’m happy you do though, provides a little spark in here. Thanks for responding.
>I just would never think of coming on boards. That's true and I don't often come to single stock's subs unless in moments where market or the ticker is showing extreme fear/euphoria, which for the past few weeks have been showing extreme euphoria. I do this partly to assess retail sentiment. Another reason I come here is because I find this sub endlessly entertaining, the same reason ppl go to the zoo. And commenting because I can't help myself.
>Another reason I come here is because I find this sub endlessly entertaining, the same reason ppl go to the zoo. > >And commenting because I can't help myself. In other words, pml1990, you're an impulsive troll This does explain why you advise people to take actions based on short-term price action, as well as your antagonistic behavior here
>In other words, pml1990, you're an impulsive troll I don't know why watching ppl acts like fools makes me a troll. If ppl here seeing the price appreciate by 120% within weeks based on hype and think, "I'mma buy some more here" are not fools, then what do you call them? And saying what's on my mind is not trolling. I do think that PLTR's recent moves are largely correlated to the AI stocks. The charts are uncanny. Usually, I don't bother because I have better things to do than convincing the faithful, but sometimes I do feel like speaking.
