Checking pvpivs.com shows it ranks better in Great League than Ultra League, but really the issue is that Tyranitar is a pretty niche option in PvP. It might be good in some limited cups, but it’s typing leaves it weak to a lot of the Pokémon that people are going to use in open league play. Using a ‘Mon that’s weak against both the Swamperts that many people will have *and* the Venusaur that everyone else will bring to counter those Swamperts leads to a risky situation

It means it would technically beat any other empoleon in a one on one with same number of shields/circumstances. However if you want to know how good it is overall in that league go on pvpoke .com and check the ultra league rankings.

That's not exactly true. It would lose CMP to higher attack and therefore probably lose. It means it has the highest possible stat product for the species. Which is why 15 attack is so important in ML.

Nope. Rank 1 just means it has the highest stat product for that species. Doesnt mean it’s the best pvp iv’s or that the pokemon is even good in pvp. Old school technology was stat product. Now people use breakpoints and cmp to also influence what iv’s might be optimal. It’s situational and there is never a best iv combo for all situations.

I would use it if you pvp… Just don’t run anything really high ranked on lead you may get come across a mirror in. With a 1 move head start and no over farming, being stuck in a mirror doesn’t matter as much.

You might sometimes face a lot of Talonflame leads… or other fliers. This can slot in well. Just make sure the rest of your team covers Tyranitar’s weaknesses.

I find the great league quite abit harder than ultra league , even though I’ve probably invested more into my 1500 teams lol , this ttar will make a nice addition though

For Great League, it's CP 1489 at Level 14.5. For Ultra League, it's CP 2465 at Level 24.
