You have a point in your eliptical orbit which is the most efficient place to do the burn (periapsis iirc). If you burn longer, the effectiveness of the burn is lower (and you need to add as much burn before and after the point).
Combining 2 burns will make the engine burn longer (start earlier than planned and end later). If they can afford it, it's a great showoff
Yeah, this is phenomenal! It means the hyper curie engine is performing better than expected. It’s definitely a huge plus and to your point a “show off” move.
