The Swiss government bailed out Credit Suisse in exchange for equity, because part of world finance is company reputation and national reputation.
What the Swiss government needs to do is to have a sunset clause to nationalize the bank if they don't meet some transparency requirements.
Nationalisation in these situations needs to become more popular/pushed for as an outcome.
Swiss banks have always been shrouded in secrecy, enabling backroom deals, war trading and cartels. Hardline reforms are needed because the system is so good at co-opting causes, from social justice issues (rainbow washing), to green washing.
We're at the point where it needs to be known that damage is to be assessed and resolved in such a way that reduces the wealth gap, nationalising the profits, privatising the costs and targetting reforms to forge a new economy based only on paying wealth only for outcomes positive to our collective quality of life. This should be made the norm. This message needs to be instilled by government force and to have real world results.
Man if youāve ever played golf with the ultra rich⦠yeah the mulligan gets used a lot⦠I almost wondered if it was just to waste time and talk buisness
These are "less than" people supported by too much money, which combines into a mostly passive but extremely passive aggressive individual. They don't even have to learn how to do anything worth real value, they don't have the disposition to be moral or helpful (morals are a poor mans quality, don't you know?) and they laugh at their shortcomings because they know it ultimately doesn't matter because they can have the chattel do everything for them by simply offering money. They have to cheat to even compete, let alone win, and they can't do anything on their own. These are the most supported useless people on the planet.
"Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank.ā
- President Andrew Jackson
Remind me of little 5-year-olds they want to play a game with you and as soon as you try to teach him a lesson on losing they want to stop the game and change the rules and every time something else happens they just make a new rule up.
I've been trying to teach my 6-year-old daughter about this stuff
An added feature is that the do over smoothly passes the losses onto the non-rich.
Upside down on a big trade? Turn off the buy button and pass the losses onto retail investors that were on the right side of the trade.
Billionaires' personal bank goes t|ts up? Bail them out and pass the losses onto the taxpayers (incidentally the same retail investors previously mentioned).
Housing market goes boom? No problem...bail them out!
Middle class is hurting badly because they keep absorbing the losses from the bad decisions of the rich? Sorry we're broke, we sent all our money to Ukraine.
Oh yeah, I didn't mean bail out the victims...the tens of thousands of hard working families that lost their homes. The feature of the do over in full swing there.
Many of those homes, incidentally, eventually went on to the balance sheets of the banks.
You couldn't make this stuff up. It's too craven.
They don't. There's just nothing any normal person can do to stop it.
It's everywhere in everything.
They're in the process of telling us "Sorry, social security is broke." So people that have been paying into it for decades won't have their "guaranteed" retirement nest egg. They just sent over $100,000,000,000.00 to Ukraine...then tell us SS is going broke. Think about it.
Itās absolutely fraud. These rich asshats are so greedy. Sociopaths rule the general population. When are we going to stop carrying these people on our backs?
I wish we could protest this way. My god things would snap in to place really quick. If our votes and voices arenāt heard, might as well try something else. Our country only has one value; money
I don't understand what everyone is getting so upset about. This kinda thing happens all the time. When I go to the casino and lose all my money they always come out with a bag of cash, hand it to me and say "Better luck next time champ".
But it's a do-over only for the bad stuff where they lost money. It's not a start at zero, gains and debts called back all across the board.
Thats really the neat part. Keeping your loot, and getting losses covered too.
And this is why I continue to NOT pay my credit card bills and block their robo calls urging me to make a payment.
Suck these nuts, you filthy Banker Bastards!
Itās called a mulligan and you get one free one per 9 holes. These are known as gentlemenās rules. But you wouldnāt know that because youāre a poor. Eww
The ruling class has been doing this or some rendition of this to the common people through all of human history. Iām this shouldnāt be any surprise.
Doesn't fukn matter. Cover your positions with taxpayer dollars.
Eventually, taxpayers will stop paying and you have to close.
I can do this all fukn day
I'm very hopeful and trust this MOASS will come to fruition. Because I truly believe we are people who believe that we can change the glaring wrongs with society (or lack thereof).
Barring that, I also believe that the rich and government have railroaded the working class so long, there is a new generation, with so little hope, that they might personify a real purge movement.
Ape no fight ape. Red no fight Blue. They are baiting us to keep us preoccupied.

Hard reset is needed.
We'll make our own Great Reset. With transparent markets and price discovery!

We sure need to !
You can't reset the system while you are still participating in it.
Perhaps true. Username checks out :P

That's an odd spelling of "guillotines".
Coming right up. - The Chairman

That song has been in my head all week lol
"Sell water to a fish, sell time to a clock"
Step on the gas, take your foot off the brakes - then run to be⦠Treasurer of the United States
Big smile, Mate. Big wave, that's great! Now the truth is overrated, tell lies out the gate!
Perfectly said.
Theyre monsters, call it what it is.
From what Iāve learned, no business is conducted on the golf course, but itās a helluva tax deduction
Breakfast ball
Mulligan, mulligan, mulligan. Perfect game!
When the system is designed by the rich, who do you expect it to benefit?
Privatize gains and socialize losses.
...the government should reverse that trend.
Let me tell you about the governmentā¦
"Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank.ā - President Andrew Jackson
It's free.... from consequences for the rich.
These are the guys that yell time out before getting tagged

So basically no one is parenting the childlike billionaires
Yup

Bail out home owners? No, bail out the fuck sticks that lost big betting on derivatives based on the housing market.

How are people condoning this? I don't understand

now? today is the tomorrow of yesterday..
Stop having federal taxes automatically withdrawn from your paycheck.
I wish we could protest this way. My god things would snap in to place really quick. If our votes and voices arenāt heard, might as well try something else. Our country only has one value; money
Then what?
Take the money and bet it on red, take the money if you win, ask for a bailout if you don't.
When people can't eat
And the get out of jail card free
If you donāt succeed⦠well, fuck you!
No. Just us, the rich donāt get fuck for small mistakes like this.
I don't understand what everyone is getting so upset about. This kinda thing happens all the time. When I go to the casino and lose all my money they always come out with a bag of cash, hand it to me and say "Better luck next time champ".

Also that they need to use it so so often....
Itās all that fucking golf. āOh, whatever just play a mulliganā
FRC just deleted the app and the margin call went away
Yah. So fuckin cool. š
Can't forgive those college loans though.
priorities...
Word. They have to eat that...
Wonder how long before [this.](https://youtu.be/lVHx_UMhkYw)happens....again...
Not a Do-Over... Its a "Buy a day so we can figure out what to do the next day" can kick rule.
Their very own public-funded Ctrl-Z function.
It's called an infinite "Continue" button.
It'll trickle down
its almost like "free market" is a euphamism that the rich use to convince you capitalism has any element of fairness
#RESPAWN
Itās called a mulligan you uncultured poor /s This system is a joke
And this is why I continue to NOT pay my credit card bills and block their robo calls urging me to make a payment. Suck these nuts, you filthy Banker Bastards!
Everyone should stop paying nonvital bills. Since that's all the rage among the "elite".
Waiting patiently for our first mass shooting in the Hamptons
They pay security too well for it to happen by accident. They can actually afford their own securIty.
To me, I'm shocked that your feathers are ruffled and you didn't know this already...haha. Sorry, I have grey in my beard, this isn't news to me.
Like an Infinite « continue » cheat on a video game.
Right? Where's my goddamn do-over?!?!
If people took to the streets, this will change eventually. Until then, they have no reason to stop.
I genuinely still canāt believe this.
Stay passive while they steal and change rules
Banks are like those kids who invite you over to play hide and seek, get tagged out, and then change the rules mid game in their favor.
I live in the US and I'm wondering where this so called "free market" is at.
AND BECAUSE OF THIS THEY'RE MAKING THE SMALL GUYS MORE MAD AND MORE DIAMOND HANDED,. THEY ARE SOOOOOOO FUKTš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Itās like the 5 second rule, if the stock price touches zero for less than 5 seconds itās ok Lmfao
Gotta love good ode ācapitalismā Edit: add in a word (said it in my mind but didnāt type it out)
Pretty sure you meant "ol'" or "old" here.
Poor people get one too. Itās called bankruptcy. If your good you can do it once every 7 years.
Itās called a mulligan and you get one free one per 9 holes. These are known as gentlemenās rules. But you wouldnāt know that because youāre a poor. Eww
Ain't it though?
The ruling class has been doing this or some rendition of this to the common people through all of human history. Iām this shouldnāt be any surprise.
Get out of jail free card
They also have the reset button like on nes. Like oh you're winning, well let's press that real quicklike
Not even trying something different, just literally doing the same thing again fresh Criminals, all of them
"free" market. Lol if there's rules that restrict it really isn't free anymore is it?
Hello IT. have you tried turning it off and on again?
Doesn't fukn matter. Cover your positions with taxpayer dollars. Eventually, taxpayers will stop paying and you have to close. I can do this all fukn day

How many Mulligans do they get?
Wen lambo
Nothing new, we knew it when we were born
Infinite quarters to continue the game
Itās infuriating.
Laws are for the poors
Regular people have it too, it's called bankruptcy.
Hard to tell, but that tweet makes me wonder if he thinks we actually have a free market or is merely pointing out that we clearly don't.
Imagine going to the casino, losing money, and other casino pays you back.
I hate p2w games. Especially when it's not even f2p... What a bunch of bullshit.
Yep. Makes me angry as hell.
