Italian people are Mediterranean. I'm not sure what the regional term for Portuguese people is. Iberian, maybe. Hispanic is generally used for people in the Spanish-influenced parts of the Americas.

tania-ranunes

The Mediterranean sea does not touch Portugal but it is considered mediterrean especially due to its influence on gastronomy and climate

ilikemycoffeealatte

Ah, thank you! TIL.

Goddamn_Heather

No, they would be Europeans.

Sr_Ortiz

No, because then don't descent from Spanish people or language

Briguy_87

No.

Juken-

They are all of Latin descent.

Affectionate-Egg5976

This. They could be considered "Latin" in the European sense, just as the French are considered "Latin" when compared to the British, who are generally thought of as a "Saxon" Northern European culture. In the United States? "Latin" or "Latino" usually refers exclusively to Spanish or Portuguese-speaking people from the Americas. Europeans get put into another category, and would probably considered white these days, though they wouldn't have been considered white a century ago.

Navy_Vet83

No but they are gringos

Grinisti

No. Just European.
