Most atmospheric black metal sounds cold, but what are your favourite albums for the summer? Stuff that evokes images of scorching desers, fields of dead grass, empty glass beaches, etc. I'm thinking of some psych tinged stuff but any recs would be appreciated! For me, I've been listening to dissonant stuff like Wormlust or Skáphe.

Lantlôs' Melting Sun sort of .. feels warm, I guess. But it's rather post black metal than atmospheric black metal. Awesome album, though.
For summer the Americana/western type stuff works for me. Wayfarer, Dark Watcher, Untamed Land Even though it’s more of a spring thing to me Botanist still works.
Can you rec a good album for Wayfarer and Botanist? Lots of bands with the same names
Wayfarer-Worlds Blood or A romance With Violence (Wayfarer is some of the members of Blood Incantation and Stormkeep) Botanist- personal favorites are III-Doom In Bloom and IV-Mandragora, but the new album VIII-Selenotrope is good
I second those two Wayfarer albums. they are IMMENSE.
Thanks!

It may be an obvious answer but Sun Bather is the kinda album I could see myself kickin' back at the beach with this summer.
Roads To The North by Panopticon is for pretty much any season, Sigh Of Summer is my favorite track off that album.
Plantgazer from Show Me a Dinosaur feels like summer and early autumn to me.
