Where are the lower paying jobs with mental well-being? Not an option at all for most so as well as much make money in your high paying job. There is no mental well-being in any kind of job unless you are generationally rich.
Jobs in India in general come with lack of mental well being (because of the population there'll always be someone to replace you if you don't overwork yourself). High paying jobs atleast pay enough to compensate for it.
.. Because mostly their family won’t let them :) lost count of the number of senior-citizen parents around me telling their 30-40 yr old unhappy children to not quit their stressful jobs because that would mean letting go of their big salary package. No wonder why there are so many 30-40 year olds getting health problems nowadays — stress is huge.
This quote will be more appropriate for people jumping to buy things on EMIs.
Just to impress the other person.
Budget mein Tata Punch hai, but le rhe hai Jeep Compass on emi.
Crying inside a Benz takes years of toil to buy it, only to eventually realise that you will still cry with it. Crying on the road saves you years of futile effort.
I personally prefer spending my time to find the solution instead of buying an expensive car. If tears are the problem, getting rid of those tears is the solution, not a Benz.
Needlessly romanticising poverty, the issue is not high paying vs low paying. It’s the exploitation of labour force in India, this survey words the question as of poor people have amazing mental well being and have amazing labour laws which protects them from exploitation
I feel because of wfh everyone assumes everyone’s home so expect everyone to work long working hours. We need to stop doing this. Moving to low paying job won’t work as this culture is there everywhere now.
I think this will be the thing of the future. My co worker is a 40 year old guy who used to be an airport manager. He got sick of it and quit a job paying him almost $150k pa. Now he is a labourer on our site. I asked him why and he said the stress was getting to him. Now he makes say 50k pa but has his house paid off and just working till retiring.
Mental health is big in Australia and people don't think twice before jumping. I was more mentally relaxed as a labourer but now I am a carpenter and have to call the shots which pays heaps more but is a headache sometimes.
So what’s stopping them?
When I started job, there was this trend where everyone would say “ bahut kaam hai yaar”. They would spend all day at work going for sutta break and coffee break and then start work by 5pm. Off course they would work till 9-10pm then.
Now I see a trend, many Indians talk about “stress” and depression so loosely. They have no clue what’s stressing them if you ask.
Fact: When you get to a certain stage in life when you think you have a ' high-paying job,' you can afford to exchange it for mental well-being.
Corollary: You just need the fortitude to realize you have ' high-paying job!'
Anything for dessert😄. IT jobs maybe stressfull for the amount of work but atleast computers are easy you tell them something to do and they do it, unlike humans theres no playbook with humans.
But they wont
high paying or low paying, most of us find ourselves stuck at a particular place.
Truth
Because there aren’t any
This is bullshit fluff article. Chat GPT ?
I mean, leaving job isn't the best idea
Words are cheap.
To kar naa
karte kyun nahi
2.5 saal hogye hai hum bhi yhi hai aap bhi yaha ho
Choice hai ?

Low paying jobs comes with even more mental stress.
Also arranged marriage salary is important.
Teaching in Academia at least at IITs/NITs and Central Universities with decent pay and lots of time to spare.
Those are highly specialised jobs
If i can go home everyday and not stress about work that itself is a great job for me
As a general we mostly lack gratitude towards what we have instead we focus on what we don't have hence the problem
Get a sarkari job Low paying & chill mind
Right statement would be " 88% Indians dream of exchanging their high-paying jobs for mental well being, but cannot in reality"......

So I could become an online therapist or religious guru. Good idea
We buy things we don't need with jobs we don't want to impress people we don't like.
Where is this from? I can’t remember that movie/docu(?)
The crux of it is from Fight Club
It's from the Fight Club movie/book. > We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like.
I guess it also fits George Carlin quote of People spending money they don't have on things they don't need
This quote will be more appropriate for people jumping to buy things on EMIs. Just to impress the other person. Budget mein Tata Punch hai, but le rhe hai Jeep Compass on emi.
The first rule of... Well I can't tell you abt it.
Fight club
Lol all these survey are usless, no one's gonna leave their high-paying job.
Because there is no mental wellbeing without money.
Theres no mental well being with or without money
Option 1 :you are sad and crying inside your Benz Option 2:you are sad and crying on the side of the road You choose 🙂🙂

Haha truee
so 88% Indians are hypocrites?
Gotta be more than that
And 87℅ indians in that survey are liar.
U mean 99% in that survey
Needlessly romanticising poverty, the issue is not high paying vs low paying. It’s the exploitation of labour force in India, this survey words the question as of poor people have amazing mental well being and have amazing labour laws which protects them from exploitation
Let's have high paying jobs and also mental well being.
Saying vs doing
I feel because of wfh everyone assumes everyone’s home so expect everyone to work long working hours. We need to stop doing this. Moving to low paying job won’t work as this culture is there everywhere now.
The closing para says, "About 200 employees in India took part in the survey." Does this survey makes any sense at all?

To the people who participated in this survey. I challenge them to do it.
The problem is 99% of Indians don't have anything close to high paying jobs.
Kindly drop a DM if you’re interested in assigning your job to me.
Lol what are these high paying jobs? How many people are there in this 88%?
Even me but the money factor is forcing me
Meri mental health aap rkhlo mujhe high paying job dedo
If companies allow full remote work from villages many will shift and enjoy mental peace. But they are pulling back with one or other excuse.
I already have. Edit: I now need another job
Fact: When you get to a certain stage in life when you think you have a ' high-paying job,' you can afford to exchange it for mental well-being. Corollary: You just need the fortitude to realize you have ' high-paying job!'
Only restricted to surveys
There should a strong union for IT folks to demand higher pay and low stress in jobs
Anything for dessert😄. IT jobs maybe stressfull for the amount of work but atleast computers are easy you tell them something to do and they do it, unlike humans theres no playbook with humans.
I have done it myself. Take your own responsibility.
99% possibility the post is written by an intern
You had to put the word “survey” and I understand the reason. But people are not dumb, and the survey is. !
Not me
Pehle high paying job to mile.
Tell me the names of few people's and i will believe you.
Liars
but they wont, cos then who will pay them?
Ya but they can't afford to.
I doubt , indians cannot survive peacefully with low paying jobs considering the socioeconomic status
Oh wait? You guys are getting highly paid?
Even if 5% do it it will be huge!!!
they wont.
Lol who are they surveying
Take my peace and give me your job
they are lying
Interested 😭
I actually did this. I seem to regret it now.
For the stress or pay?
Wrong. Wrong data. Wrong statistic. Wrong research. Plain wrong. 🙅
No way.
Loser bums.
I am not trust in it, everyone speak about it but want to make money.
Words mean shit
