I count 14, but still. It's not like he was winning matches on hard courts prior to 2017 either. I can't find comprehensive results but I know that of his first 450 matches as a pro 441 were played on clay and his record on hard/carpet was 2-7.

There’s so many clay points available that you can do that and be 64 in the world 🥴🥴🥴

Conversely, there's more hard court points available so you can suck on clay and grass and be top 20

There’s always going to be mostly hardcourt tournaments though. To be that bad on the majority of courts emphasises how lopsided the schedule is.
