Breakdown Fed: WIM 03 -> AO 07 (<4 Years) AO 07 -> AO 18 (11 Years) Rafa: RG 05 -> RG 11 (6 Years) RG 11 -> RG 20 (9 Years) Djoko: AO 08 -> US 15 (<8 Years) US 15 -> WIM 21 (<6 Years)

Prime_D-Will

10 in four years is just dumb lmao

mdonova33

That stat is absolutely retardedly impressive

hwoaraxng

he extremely dominated the whole tennis world

treyfiddy

young federer was like kobe - same animal different beast.

YourLatinLover

Federer wasn't a rapist, so I wouldn't compare him to Kobe.

paradisemoses

Kobe is dead

20 slams is insane. We’ve gotten so used to saying it like yeah sure, but stop for a second and analyze it. It’s unbelievable. Just IMAGINE winning 20 freaking Grand Slams.

Dark_Vengence

Unbelievable there are three who won at least 20 and they were all playing at the same time.

randomtoken

There are insanely talented players out there who may never get to win a slam. It’s every tennis player’s dream, winning at least one slam. Now imagine achieving that dream t w e n t y times. It’s a complete, total, absolute domination of the scene never seen before, and very unlikely to be ever seen again. What these three men did is truly historical, and I know we’ve known this for a long time but looking at this picture it just hit me again.

Dark_Vengence

I became a big fan of nole's in 2008. That was when I first started watching tennis. It was a magical maiden grand slam at the aussie open. I knew fed was the goat at the time because he was winning everything. I knew nadal was exceptional too.

tripsafe

Seems a bit counter intuitive but I wonder if each of them would have won fewer grand slams without the other two there to keep the competition up and continually raise the bar to unprecedented heights.

squereface

Yeah, it's hard to fathom how unprecedented it really is, especially for anyone who grew up just watching the Big 3. I caught the tail end of Sampras's career and it was already a huge deal when he broke his own record with his 14th. Before that, Emerson had the record with 12, which had stood for over 30 years, so the fact that Federer got his 15th just 7 years after Sampras set his record is mind-boggling enough as it is. To have 3 players each holding at least 20 slams only 20 years after Sampras is absolutely bonkers.

letskeepitcleanfolks

Literally unprecedented, maybe unimaginable as recently as 10 years ago. And now there are three.

Fantasnickk

Fed had 17 10 years ago. Maybe 15-20 years, sure

letskeepitcleanfolks

Fine, it was unprecedented 10 years ago, unimaginable 17 years ago.

socialcocoon

There are 4 GS a year. 3 players have at least 20 and played at the same time. That's 60+ GS won by 3 people. 15 years' worth of GS.

randomtoken

When you put it like that it sounds even more insane!!!!

Whompa

Fed aging like fine wine, Rafa hair getting shorter and shorter but keeping that same great smile, and Djoker just looking mostly the same lol. Hell his hairline might have improved over time somehow.

BeardedGardenersHoe

> Hell his hairline might have improved over time somehow. Hairline more consistent than his backhand

Whompa

Alternative herbal therapeutic medicinal supplements and can only do so much.

UncomfortableFarmer

Big hair -> medium hair -> small hair Big hair -> medium hair -> small hair HAIR -> HAIR -> HAIR

Theme_Park_Critic

fed looks older in 03 than he does now lmao

dunkerpup

Rafa in the ‘11 photo 😍

PinkPanda1306

Rafa’s smile 🥰

[deleted]

Fed and Novak look like they are smiling for the cameras and probably want to go take a nap. Rafa looks like he's genuinely happy.

PinkPanda1306

Yes! The happiest smile! I 💜it 🥰

Dafuqyoutalkingabout

It’s insane to me these numbers happened on the ATP at all but for 3 of them to do it and in my lifetime is indescribable.

101nemesis101

3 of them to do it in a single era whilst playing each other. That's just even more impressive somehow.

Strange_Armadillo_63

Rafa's face is so expressive

[deleted]

This era of tennis should be called the GOAT farm

Sakada123

I find it kinda cool that Novak did it in 3 different Grand Slams. 1st-> Australian Open 10th-> US Open 20th-> Wimbeldon

Mithcanal2

Kinda shows their careers off well too, Fed loving faster courts, Rafa a clay court king start to finish, and Djok being the most balanced

clapclapJH31

Number 30 at RG?

Sakada123

YES.

aceh40

How about number 40?

fingerdumbed

The new fifth slam. Probably on Mars.

xhrui

Goddamn... the immovable lego hair of Novak's 💀💀

Dark_Vengence

Nole's hair withstood the test of time.

el-gato-azul

Do you know many people in the world who have hair that grows out in the forward direction like that?

jasonfrey13

What is Novak’s hair 😂 like honestly though

swirkh

Novak's 10th is the most recent, Rafa's 10th was 4 years before Novak's, despite there being 1 year age difference between them. Novak has just dominated men's tennis post-2014.

Saturn_Ecplise

Their Grand Slam counts are all inverse proportional to the amount of hair they have.

flashdash007

Golden age. Can’t believe we have been witness to the three greatest male tennis players of all time and Serena too!

MarsNirgal

Novak king of not aging. And Rafa in his first slam is the most adorable thing ever.

modeONE1

Novak's back third is bonkers. He has won 9 slams since 2018... Had he played in Australia this year- surely that's 10 slams since 2018.

JammyP93

Never trust a man who keeps the same haircut for 20+ years.

PM_urfacelessnudes

Rafa winning that 10th one - La Decima - looks like an absolute rockstar

monptitbabe

But it’s not on this photo. RG 2011 was his 10th GS but not La Decima, which was in RG 2017

[deleted]

Yup, that's not his 10th RG, "just" his 10th slam. He looks kinda like a superhero to me. Spanish flag as the cape.

running531

Superman costume haha

el-gato-azul

People say that Fed passed up Rafa in handsomeness, but I think it's a tight call.

TheHollyweird

It’s not even a tight call. Rafa is more handsome than Roger. Do you know how handsome you have to be to lose your hair and still look that fine??

Sexy_Apocalypse

Djok missed the memo about hair progression

iAlphx

Those are the faces of: Ima need more cabinet space

TuanNguyen-2507

Achieving 20 Plus GS while constantly blocking each other is such a great feat

Cloudy0-

So. Novak actually has aged. Not the hair, of course, but his face. He looks noticeably younger in the first photo.

mmm095

Djokovic looking the exact same throughout the years. Amazing genetics

dlouisbaker

Roger and its not even close. If they hadn't slowed down the courts he'd be way out in front.

pixelkipper

if, if, if doesn’t exist

jasonfrey13

I’m a huge Fed fan, and people like you saying things like this make us all look bad. Stop
